Coronation Street reveals first suspects for Carl’s potential death in early ITVX episode
Coronation Street‘s five major death suspects were officially revealed this week – so it was only a matter of time before some of our Weatherfield favourites started making ominous threats against the unlucky characters. In tonight’s episode, it’s Carl Webster in the firing line as we discover who could be to blame if he’s killed off in two months’ time.
Earlier this week, Corrie signposted Carl, Jodie Ramsey, Maggie Driscoll, Megan Walsh and Theo Silverton as the possible victims in the show’s next death storyline. A special flashforward scene revealed that a body will be found by Betsy Swain on 23 April, sparking a police investigation.
In tonight’s episode, Carl is the centre of attention after shocking Ronnie Bailey with the truth about Debbie being his mum. When Ronnie and Kevin Webster pay a visit to Debbie in prison, she confirms Carl’s revelation over their true connection.
Kevin is upset to realise that he’s been lied to for his whole life, finally understanding why Debbie has been so determined to take the blame for the Corriedale crash.

However, when Kevin sees just how much Debbie is struggling behind bars – already sporting a black eye after an altercation with another prisoner – his thoughts turn to protecting her.
“Okay, you’ve done all this for Carl, what’s it doing to you?” Kevin asks. “Look at you. You’ve been here five minutes, you’re black and blue.
“Look, I don’t care that Carl’s your son. He shouldn’t be putting you through this. I could kill him for what he’s done to you…”
With a possible grisly fate ahead for Carl, reckless Kevin may want to avoid saying that too loudly!
Later, Kevin and Ronnie team up to intimidate Carl back on the street, threatening to make his life a misery unless he clears Debbie’s name over the crash.
The two men clearly mean business – but how far will they go to solve their big Carl problem? Is this an early clue to the flashforward death, or just a red herring?
