In the latest instalment, now streaming on ITV X, Kevin was left seething after discovering sister Debbie Webster intended to invite their brother Carl Webster and his former wife Abi to her forthcoming nuptials.

Viewers will remember that Kevin’s spouse Abi conducted an affair with his sibling Carl, with the pair now embarking on a relationship and even cohabiting, leaving Kevin abandoned and wounded by their betrayal.

This situation has placed sister Debbie in an awkward position, as she desires both brothers present at her marriage to Ronnie Bailey, along with sister-in-law Abi following her recent assistance.

Upon revealing her intentions to invite Carl and Abi, an incensed Kevin hurled her invitation back, declaring that if she wanted the couple present, he wouldn’t attend, reports the Daily Star.

Subsequently, after some consideration, Kevin consented to go, acknowledging it was Debbie’s special occasion, though he wouldn’t be friendly with Carl or Abi during the celebration.

Debbie was thrilled and hinted that Kevin might have discovered someone special by the wedding day himself.

This conversation took place at the Rovers, where barmaid Glenda Shuttleworth eavesdropped and offered Kevin his beverage complimentary.

Coronation Street's Michael Le Vell offered a new year-long contract to stay on the Cobbles as Kevin Webster until 2019

The beaming barmaid declared: “You’re a good man!” leaving the garage owner flattered and moved.

Subsequently, Kevin confided in Glenda, mentioning he wouldn’t be lingering at the celebration, to which she responded it was a “shame” as she was anticipating witnessing his dancing skills.

Could there be a spark of romance brewing between Kevin and Glenda, given their playful banter and Debbie’s hint about Kevin having a wedding date?

This speculation comes after Jodie Prenger, 46, who plays Glenda, dropped some hints about her character’s future during an exclusive chat with Reach PLC at a recent Coronation Street event.

Discussing Glenda’s romantic prospects, Jodie confessed she’d love to see her character find love. However, she noted: “She’d probably end up getting her heart broken, she’s too trusting sometimes, but she’d love a fella or she’d love a dog!”.
