Celia set to kill April in Emmerdale as she ‘loses her last chance’

April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) has become a liability for Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths) and Ray Walters (Joe Absolom) in Emmerdale.

She’s still reeling from the fall out of murdering Callum as he attempted to rape her, believing Celia and Ray cleaned up her mess and protected her from a life in prison.

And while she doesn’t yet know that she didn’t actually kill him, Celia and Ray are still salty that she didn’t do as she was told and that she might blab to the police about the whole drug shebang.

April has been worried of that too, but when they warned her that if she did that they would mercilessly kill her entire family, it triggered a vivid and violent daydream that saw her dad Marlon (Mark Charnock) shot and killed in front of her face after she confessed all to him (still not over that, cheers Emmerdale).

She’s been permanently silenced after that little gem, but Ray was still ordered by his mum Celia to sort the problem, and when he met April solo with a gun in his belt, it looked like things were only going to end one way.

But he let her live and instead concocted a plan to ship her off to ‘Newcastle’. Whether the Newcastle he’s talking about is the same as the ‘train station’ in Yellowstone, i.e. where people are secretly taken to be executed, remains to be seen.

But perhaps Ray let her live as he’s been showing he does possess a few ounces of humanity, becoming a little bit smitten with Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy). He’s also voiced displeasure at some of Celia’s actions. Could he actually end up being the one to save April from Celia?

Well, if so, his rescue is nowhere near yet because before he knows it, April gives him another reason to regret tucking that gun back into his waistband unused – April gets herself arrested.

Celia learns about this new turn of events while hanging out in the café and is less than pleased. Bob (Tony Audenshaw) rushes to be with his granddaughter where he berates the police for making a huge mistake.

April has been found with drugs and is grilled on where they came from. She knows better than to speak, but DS Clarke touches a nerve when he asks her directly if she’s being exploited. For a brief second, it looks like April will cave.

Bob is put in a terrible position when April makes him promise he won’t tell Marlon about the arrest.

Back in the village on their return, Celia has had enough. She tells Ray this is the end of the line for April if the police investigation doesn’t go the way they need it to.
