‘Bold and the Beautiful’ Return Plan Excludes Key Actors – Will Eric Forrester Be on Set or Not?
Bold and the Beautiful resume shooting next month, but not all actors will be part of the tapings – will John McCook‘s character Eric Forrester be among them? We’ve got some inside scoop from a leaker on the CBS daytime set. Here is what you can expect as B&B tries to get back to work and bring new episodes to fans.
Bold and the Beautiful Hopes for June Return to Filming – What are the Obstacles?
At first, B&B hoped to get back to filming mid-May, but that didn’t pan out. Now, the CBS sudser is looking to a June kick-off, likely later in the month. However, there are many safeguards to be implemented before Bold and the Beautiful can begin shooting new episodes.
However, if CBS daytime gets back to work in late June, that helps calculate when B&B will have fresh episodes on-air. And if Bold and the Beautiful can make this happen, then they’d be the first of the three US soaps to get back to business. Although it won’t be quite as usual.
In fact, it makes sense that Bold and the Beautiful could get back to work first since it’s got the smallest cast, fewest sets, and typically has just a few characters front and center at a time. But, our source set also told us that not all actors would come back at first. Here’s who and why.

<h2>Will Eric Forrester, Pam Douglas, and Charlie Webber Be Sidelined from Shooting on B&B?</h2>
<p>Our <em>Bold and the Beautiful </em>set source leaked that older actors would be the last to return to the soap. That’s because older persons are at higher risk for COVID-19. Undoubtedly, the shooting exclusion will also affect anyone on the cast or crew that’s at high risk for a medical reason. One of these may be Eric Forrester actor John McCook.</p>
<p>Fortunately for <em>Bold and the Beautiful, </em>they have a younger cast at work. The CDC cautions those 65 and older to be more careful about exposure risk. On the <em>B&B </em>cast<em>,</em> that’s just a few actors. First, is 75-year-old John McCook, AKA Eric Forrester. Also, there’s Alley Mills – who plays Pam.</p>
<p>Alley is 69. There’s also Pam’s love interest Charlie (Dick Christie), who’s 71. But most of the other <em>Bold and the Beautiful </em>actors are in their 50s, including Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan), Thorsten Kaye (Ridge Forrester), and Don Diamont (Bill Spencer).</p>

When Will New Bold and the Beautiful Episodes Air & What Other Issues Await?
B&B also plans to limit the number of actors filming. Given the current storylines, that shouldn’t be too disruptive. For instance, Wyatt Spencer’s (Darin Brooks) plot could center on just Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Flo Fulton (Katrina Bowden).
As to the other big storylines on Bold and the Beautiful, there’s Shauna Fulton (Denise Richards, Ridge, and Brooke. And then, there’s Bill and Katie Logan (Heather Tom). However, we’ll likely see a lot more bickering and a lot less smooching when the soap is back.
