Another Epic Shock For Ridge

As if learning that Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) has convinced herself that she’s in love with Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) of all people wasn’t enough.

Now, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) has learned that Eric Forrester (John McCook) was so desperate to design that he went to the competition and begged Katie Logan (Heather Tom) to make him her new fashion house’s lead designer.

First, Ridge can’t believe that Eric would want to do a thing like that. Second, he can’t believe that Dollar Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) and Katie would let him. Don’t they know that there was a reason he insisted that Eric had to retire?

In Ridge’s mind, Eric is way too old for this stuff, so there’s nothing wrong with throwing him a retirement party without telling him he’s going to retire.

Ridge feels the need to make matters worse by confronting Eric. He has to know what his dad was thinking, but he also doesn’t realize the mess he is about to make.

Ridge Really Does It Now

As Ridge lays into Eric for daring to design for the enemy when he should be retired, Eric defends his decision.

He still has designs left in him and he is not about to be put out to pasture by his own son.

He is determined to do something different, so why not help Katie get her company off the ground?

Ridge thinks this is absolutely absurd and demands that Eric put an end to this nonsense right away.

Eric claims this is his life and he is going to do what he wants with it. Then, right on cue, he has chest pains and needs to be rushed to the hospital.

Did we expect this to end any other way? Ridge has to be proven right, which means Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) is also proven right.

And Brooke always has to be right. At least Deke Shape (Harrison Cone) is waiting in the wings…
