B&B Spoilers: Katherine Kelly Lang Addresses Possibility Of Brooke Being Killed Off – Oh No!

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that not even legacy characters are protected from falling victim to a serial killer or an out of the blue demise if it suits the storyline, i.e., ratings.

Today there are two actors on the show who debuted with the soap—John McCook (Eric Forrester) and Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan Forrester).

Fans love both of these characters and it’s hard to imagine the show without them. In recent times, Eric’s health issues made it seem that he might be written off, and we’re glad that that hasn’t been the case.

The show recently celebrated its 39th anniversary, and McCook noted: “They’ve tried killing me off a couple of times in the last, late five years. It just doesn’t work.”

KKL Plays a Legacy Character

What about Lang? She has been involved in pivotal plots since her debut in 1987, and the character is as controversial as she is beloved.

But is Brooke untouchable? Lang spoke about this possibility with Us Weekly during a BBTV streaming app launch event.

Will the Show Kill Off Brooke?

Lang said “I never, ever think they’re gonna kill me off. I just don’t think that would happen. But it could, you never know.”

Well, that’s a relief! While Brooke is a lightning rod character, if only for continuity’s sake, she should remain on the show.

Brooke is a Firestorm

Lang’s opinion should be taken as fact. There is no reason to kill off a character who has bedded an entire family of men, slept with her daughters’ (yes, plural) boyfriends, and cheated countless times. In other words, Brooke is a storyline gold mine.

The thing that bother us though, is that she hasn’t seemed to change or grow much over the decades.

Should Brooke Change?

That much is clear in her current storyline with Katie Logan Spencer (Heather Tom). The sisters are having a showdown over several things, including Katie’s right to use their family name, Logan.

Brooke thinks she owns the name, and her hysterical defense of her position is vintage Brooke: bullheaded, wrongheaded and just plain stupefying.

In other words, what would we do without Brooke and her confounding presence? The show would be a lot duller and we’re all for Brooke and her portrayer staying with the show as long as it’s on the air.
