All Coronation Street spoilers for next week as beloved couple get the worst possible shock
A Coronation Street couple get a devastating shock next week when they get news about their baby.
When Shona and David Platt (Julia Goulding and Jack P Shepherd) head to a scan, they are left worried by their sonographer’s reaction.
Meanwhile, it is clear that Will Driscoll isn’t as pleased with the new family home as the rest of the clan, as he remains disinterested in Eva Price’s (Catherine Tyldesley) attempts to make him feel more at home.
Elsewhere, things are still tense between Carla Connor (Alison King) and Becky Swain (Amy Cudden), while Fiz Dobbs (Jennie McAlpine) struggles to hold it together as the pressure mounts.
With all that and more ahead, Metro has a guide to next week’s episodes just for you!
Monday, November 10

Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) accosts David in the precinct and accuses him of winding up Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) with his jibes about their relationship. David is unrepentant and shoves past him, so a seething Kit arrests him for assaulting a police officer.
When David fails to show up to take her for her scan, a fuming Shona asks Sarah for a lift. David pleads with Kit to let him go as he couldn’t bear to let Shona down. Kit relents and drives David to the hospital.
David and Shona gaze at their baby on the monitor, but the sonographer’s face clouds as they point out a mass on the baby’s neck.
Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) asks Becky outright if she was telling the truth about being spied on at her flat. Becky makes a show of taking offence at Lisa’s lack of trust.

Carla advises Lisa to wake up, pointing out that if Becky really was in danger, there’s no way she’d risk her daughter’s safety by hiding out in Betsy Swain’s (Sydney Martin) home.
When Becky overhears, how will she react?
As Ruby Dobbs (Billie Naylor) and Hope Stape (Isabella Flanagan) scream at each other, Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) tries weakly to intervene, while a stressed and overwhelmed Fiz complains about having to do everything.

In the factory, Fiz has a meltdown and starts viciously whacking her sewing machine, as Izzy Armstrong (Cherylee Houston), Kirk Sutherland (Andrew Whyment), and Michael Bailey (Ryan Russell) watch on helplessly.
As Ben and Eva look for an athletics club for Will, Eva’s ears prick up when James Bailey (Jason Callender) mentions that he’s a personal trainer. James takes Will for a training session, but Will’s not interested, burying his head in his phone.
Shona is unimpressed to learn that Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard) is leaving Abi Webster (Sally Carman) to complete the flat move by herself.

In the first half of a unique and heartbreaking episode, viewers follow Shona and David’s journey as they prepare to set off to see the consultant to find out more about the mass found on their unborn baby’s neck.
We first see the morning from Shona’s point of view as she emotionally wonders how David can be so casual when their baby’s life could be at risk. Eventually, she orders David out of the car, insisting that she doesn’t want him at the hospital.
We then see the same morning from David’s perspective, as he focuses on preparing himself and his determination to be strong for Shona, despite the fact that he is falling apart inside.
At the hospital, the consultant confirms the presence of a tumour on the baby’s neck and explains that if they decide to continue with the pregnancy, Shona will have to undergo complex surgery.

As the consultant reveals that their daughter’s tumour could be cancerous, how will a shell-shocked Shona and David respond?
Elsewhere, Will tells Eva and Ben Driscoll (Aaron McCusker) he’s at an athletics meeting in Leeds with his old team, but it soon becomes clear that he’s not telling the truth.
Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) hosts a poker night, but when he raises the stakes by gambling his car, Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) worries about his mindset.
Michael lets slip to Tyrone about Fiz’s breakdown at work.
Sally informs Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) that Lou’s up in court for fighting in prison.

Will’s athletics coach Megan drops him off in Weatherfield. Devastated to be back to reality, Will stomps off home in a foul mood.
When Ben bumps into Megan outside, he insists on taking her back to the pub for lunch. Is Will about to confess all to his family about his unhappiness?
Sally sees Tim’s phone open on Trisha’s social media and asks why he’s snooping through her accounts, but Tim tells her to change the record.
When Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey) bumps into him, Kit asks why he’s not at court. Brody bursts into Tim and Sally’s and accuses them of denying him the chance to support his mum.

As he brands Sally and Tim useless foster parents, Brody’s shocked to realise Joanie and her social worker have just walked in.
Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) continues to feel down about having no work while Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) prepares for a lavish funeral for a local councillor.
Gary Windass (Mikey North) tells Theo that Pete’s offered him a contract, despite their previous falling-out. Gary suggests that if Todd could smooth things over with Pete, it may secure Theo some work, too. Will Todd agree?
