Is Kate Roberts really dead on Days of our Lives? That’s a huge concern right now since we last saw her when Bo Brady held her at gunpoint. Then a shock rang out. But is the delightful diva really dead on Days?

Is Kate Roberts Really Dead on Days of our Lives?

Hey, this is SoapDirt.com and we are going to be talking about Days of Our Lives today. Specifically, fans are asking is Kate Roberts really dead on Days? It seemed dire as Bo Brady was ordered to shoot her by his “boss” Megan Hathaway.

And he took Kate outside to do just that. Then, Kate tried to talk him down. She tried to remind him who he is in about his loved ones. Next, there’s a gunshot but we never saw the gun pointed at her. Literally, we never saw a smoking gun.

We never saw Kate Roberts’ body on the ground. And so, it’s a very relevant question – is Kate Roberts dead on Days of Our Lives? Or is she going to come back from the great beyond for the second time within the past few months?

How Long Has Lauren Koslow Been on DOOL?

If you didn’t know it, Kate Roberts has been in Salem since 1993. That is 30 years on the soap. And the originator of the role was Deborah Adair. But after three years, Lauren Koslow took over the role in 1996.

And she has been playing the role now for close to 27 years. So, Kate is integral to the fabric of Salem and one of the most Devilicious Dames on Days of Our Lives.

So, certainly, it would be great if she was alive and was going to come back to us. And there’s a lot of reasons to be hopeful. First and foremost is the fact that Kate Roberts has cheated death a couple of times before.

Kate Cheated Death a Few Years ago on Days of Our Lives

Think back to 2019… I don’t know if you remember this or not but Vivian Alamain shot Kate Roberts twice in the chest. Then, she shoved her into a grave and buried her alive. Well, lo and behold, Kate dug her way out of that grave on Days of Our Lives.

And still looking kind of fabulous, she staggered her way into the hospital to get the emergency help that she needed. Then, Vivian found out and was furious. So, Vivian put on a surgical mask, and she snuck into the hospital.

There, she tried to finish what she started, and she put a pillow over Kate Roberts’ face. She tried to smother her on Days of Our Lives. That incident — which Kate survived — put her into a coma. And she was on a ventilator.

Even so, she came back from all of that. So, she survived the shooting. She came back from the attempt to suffocate her. And she came back from the coma and got off the ventilator. Then, she rebuilt her life.

At the time, Lauren Koslow told Soap Opera Digest that Kate is the “ultimate survivor”. And is determined. So, just a few years ago she went through this life-or-death dilemma. And she came back after major trauma.

Kate Roberts “Died” Just a Few Months Ago too on Days

Late this last year in December 2022, the virus swept Kate Roberts away from Roman Brady. And everybody thought that Kate and Marlena Evans and Kayla Brady all died. That’s because the orchid went missing.

Of course, it turned out that Megan Hathaway had the orchid. And she wanted to use it to cure Bo Brady — and to make an anti-aging serum so that she could be young and happy forever. But Megan is nutty as a bag of pecans.

Right now, Megan truly thinks that Kate is dead on Days of our Lives. And Marlena Evans is now back in Salem. Recently, she told her loved ones that she really thinks that Kate is dead.

And while she didn’t want to say exactly what happened… Doc said basically that Kate was defiant of Megan’s rules. And the psycho took her life. Of course, that may or may not be true.

Right now, Kayla is off with her brother Bo Brady in Greece on a goat farm. And he’s got these dastardly plans. So now, the only person that knows if Kate is dead or alive is Kate herself — and Bo.

Did Bo Brady Kill Kate Roberts on Days of our Lives?

Crazy Ms. Hathaway ordered Bo Brady to murder Kate Roberts on Days of our Lives. But we know towards the end of those interactions with Megan that he had turned on her. But when he came in and saw Kate attacking Megan, he was still struggling.

Once he took Kate outside of the lab area on the island, she tried to remind him of his family back in Salem. Then, Kate told him how everybody was going to be excited that he was alive.

But the bottom line is we still heard the gunshot. We didn’t see her get shot. But heard it. So, it’s very important to question whether or not Bo Brady, even not in his right mind, would actually shoot Kate Roberts.

They have a lot of overlapping people that love them both on Days of our Lives. And they are family. And that is a very big deal. For instance, Bo was twice married to her daughter Billie Reed. So, Kate is his former mother-in-law.

Plus, he is her brother-in-law because he is a half-brother to Roman Brady. And Roman’s currently married to Kate. So, there is a lot of history there and it seems pretty likely that Kate could convince him to let her go.

If Kate’s Alive, Where is She Now on Peacock Soap Opera?

The big question is where is Kate Roberts — if she is indeed alive? We have to assume that Bo let her go because of their deep history and family ties. But Bo might have incapacitated her in some way to facilitate his escape.

So, he might have tied her up somewhere on the island on Days of our Lives. Or maybe he smacked her upside the head with the pistol to knock her out and left her. Or maybe he just pointed her in a direction and offscreen told her — run and don’t look back.

Indeed, Kate might have run for her life. However, it’s pretty strange that she wouldn’t come back to look for Kayla and Marlena. So maybe, Kate was incapacitated.

I fully believe that is a safe bet that Kate Roberts is alive and well and that she will find her way back to Salem. She may be on the run far from home with no ID or money. But she’s a clever girl. We have to assume that she is on the way back to her husband Roman.

So, back to the original question — is Kate Roberts really dead on Days. Nah… I doubt it.
