Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers hint that Andre DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) may have pulled off a cruise kidnapping plot. Did a Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) switch just go down?

In Days’ October 28 episode, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) explained that during Tony and Anna DiMera’s (Leann Hunley) latest cruise, the boat docked for the day in Athens.

That’s where Tony had a business meeting, but Anna grew worried when he didn’t make it back on board.

Anna suspected foul play, but EJ downplayed everything and suggested maybe it was just a case of Tony’s absentmindedness.

EJ’s attitude was a little odd since he didn’t show much concern for his brother and acted like DiMera business should proceed.

It was almost like EJ knew more than everyone else and was aware that Tony wasn’t in legitimate danger.

Regardless, Anna later received a message and relayed the news to EJ that Tony was found safe.

Tony supposedly just missed the boat when the meeting ran longer than expected and now plans to rejoin the cruise at the next port.

Of course, DOOL writers must be going somewhere with Tony’s temporary vanishing act.

There must be a reason why Tony disappeared briefly, so perhaps it was so Andre could snatch him and throw him into captivity.

Although Andre is presumed deceased, that means nothing considering how many characters have come back to life over the years – even Andre himself in the past.

Now Andre may have returned once more and plan to pose as Tony on the boat with Anna, who’s furious with “Tony” for embarrassing her.

That’ll certainly make it easy for Days to avoid any intimacy between Anna and Andre if he’s indeed taken over Tony’s life.

Days spoilers indicate that one of Thaao Penghlis’ characters will be involved in EJ’s lab experiments, including some twisted version of a Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) resurrection.

It makes sense that wicked Andre would be tangled up in all that.

Maybe EJ knows Andre is alive and has worked out a deal for him to be part of these lab experiments they’re moving forward with.

If Tony has to suffer as a hostage for a while, then so be it!

Andre is the more ruthless brother that EJ needs right now, so EJ may be fine with him taking over Tony’s life – at least for the time being.

Regardless, Days of Our Lives spoilers say some Andre and Tony swap drama may already be underway, so stay tuned for updates on any DiMera family curveballs ahead.
