Coronation Street star Tina O’Brien has been declared ‘so much’ love by her co-star as they were seen ditching the cobbles for a special reason this week.

The actress is famed for playing Sarah Platt in the ITV soap, with Tina making her debut in the role of Gail Platt and Brian Tilsley’s daughter back in 1999.

But earlier this week, Tina was a far cry from the cobbles as she hit the red carpet with her Corrie co-star, Lucy Fallon, at the Pride of Britain Awards.

The pair posed up a storm ahead of the tear-jerking ceremony on Monday (October 20), which will be played out on ITV on Thursday (October 23), with both looking fabulous in striking gowns.

While Lucy, who plays Tina’s on-screen daughter Bethany Platt in the long-running show, opted for a baby blue gown which featured draped detailing on the front, Tina opted for a glittering figure-hugging dress.

Taking to Instagram with pictures of the pair and from the event on Tuesday (October 21), Tina said: “Still feeling so lucky and honoured to have attended the Pride of Britain Awards last night with the truly beautiful inside and out @lucyfallonx.

“What an inspiring evening, surrounded by some truly amazing people and incredibly worthy winners. Their stories were moving, humbling, and a real reminder of the good in the world.

“Especially loved meeting @upsanddownstheatregroup and the incredibly inspiring Gill who set up @thebeatgoeson_31 please make sure to give them a follow! Feeling grateful today #PrideOfBritain.”

Lucy was quick to respond, as she commented on the post: “Love you so much [hearts emoji]. Gorgeous time.” Their Corrie co-star Samia Longchamgon also gushed: “Beautiful.”

Meanwhile, fans were also quick to share their compliments. @tinaob83.fanpage said: “You and Lucy look amazing, hope you both had a lovely night and enjoyed.” @mattjj1989 wrote: “Beautiful duo.” @amyhardy134 added: “Fabulous.”
