Fears for Swarla as Lisa grows close to Becky in new Coronation Street spoiler video

Swarla fans, sit down. Take a deep breath. Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) is growing dangerously close to her estranged wife Becky (Amy Cudden) in upcoming Coronation Street scenes.

It was the twist we all saw coming – and the twist Swarla fans were dreading.

Lisa and Carla Connor (Alison King) were finally on a good path and engaged to be married, had moved into No. 6, and start a lovely little blended family.

As we all know, living in Weatherfield means that things can never go swimmingly, and Lisa nearly fell over when her dead-but-not-really wife Becky strolled in.

Long believing Becky to have died in a hit-and-run while in the line of duty, Lisa was utterly floored to come face to face with her very much alive ex-wife on their daughter Betsy’s (Sydney Martin) 18th birthday.

She’d actually been living in witness protection, and is now desperate to rekindle what she’s lost.

This week, we’ll see her putting this plan into action – and poor Roy Cropper (David Neilson) is left in an awkward position.

With Carla struggling with the situation, she decided to take a trip to Ireland.

Becky’s having a blast hanging out with her daughter – who ropes her mum into modelling a few of her college fashion creations. Before long, Lisa’s getting in on the action too, as Becky strikes a pose in the living room.

Betsy, naturally, captures every moment on camera – and it’s not long before the video makes its way onto her socials.

This causes quite the stir as Becky is still trying to keep a low profile.

The following day, Lisa is concerned when she hears from Kit (Jacob Roberts) that Betsy has been arrested – and Lisa blames Becky. She tells her that Betsy has been struggling ever since she surprised them all by rising from the dead.

Costello (Daon Broni) claims that Betsy damaged a police car, resisted arrest and tried to attack him.

He then meets with Becky and tells her it’s time she vanished again – or Betsy’s behaviour will continue to spiral.

As Costello has kept his side of the bargain by claiming that he was the one who stopped her from contacting Lisa, and now he wants her gone within the month.

Needing a shoulder to cry on, she turns to Lisa for support. As the above spoiler video shows, the two enjoy curry and soon end up a bit tipsy after a glass or two of wine.

Lisa opens up about her struggle in the wake of losing Becky, and they begin to get closer, reminiscing about days gone by.

Little do they realise, they’re about to be busted by Roy!
