90 Day Fiance: Emily Impresses Kobe’s Family with African Cooking

Emily Bieberly impresses Kobe Blaise‘s family by cooking them African food on 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After. They are in his home country planning a wedding. However, there is an important tradition that they have to do. And she is hoping that her cooking helps seal the deal.

90 Day Fiance: Emily Bieberly & Kobe Blaise Get Family’s Approval

Emily Bieberly and Kobe Blaise may already be married in America. However, in order for his family to accept their marriage, they have to have a Cameroonian wedding. But before that can happen, they have to do a very important tradition: the knock-door ceremony. During this ceremony, her father gives his family a list of wants and a bride price. The TLC couple can wed if his family can provide these items and money.

The 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After cast member’s parents were hesitant about this tradition. Her father didn’t want to ask his son-in-law’s family for anything, and he also didn’t want to have to put a price on his daughter. Her mother didn’t like that his family called her daughter their “property.”

However, after Kobe explained to Emily’s parents that it only means he is responsible for their daughter and has to provide for her. His explanation helped her parents understand more, and they accepted it. After both sides came to an agreement, there was one more thing to do—eat.

Emily had prepared traditional Cameroonian dishes for Kobe’s family. She couldn’t wait to hear what his family thought of the food, but she was also nervous. She hoped that his family liked it because it was made with love.

The 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After castmate asked her husband’s family what they thought about her cooking. They thought it was “very nice.” Her husband said it was the best he had ever tasted. But what does his parents think of her cooking?

Kobe’s father thought it was “flawless.” He explained that for Emily’s first time booking Cameroonian food, he believes she “cooks well.” His stepmother feels that if this is her first time cooking, she confesses that she cooks better than some of the women she knows.

90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After Celeb Happy with Outcome

Kobe Blaise thought that the outcome of the knock-door ceremony was the “greatest success ever.” He explained that it is a great step towards his family accepting Emily Bieberly as his wife. He has always wanted a situation where everyone in his life loves each other. So, seeing his and his wife’s families come together is a “dream come true.”

However, the 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After reality star wishes his friends could accept his wife for who she is. He hopes they will show up at their wedding and give him the support he needs. Maybe all Kobe’s friends need to do is try Emily’s cooking, and then they will accept her.
