General Hospital Wednesday, October 8 Recap: Brennan Threatens Britt With Steinmauer Prison – Josslyn Scams Carly

General Hospital (GH) recaps for Wednesday, October 8, note Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) threatened to send Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) to Steinmauer prison, while Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) passed a little test Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) threw at him.

Let’s start with Britt. She and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) were still bantering back and forth at the nurses’ station during the Wednesday episode.

Britt blackmailed Joss over her WSB agent status and agreed to keep it from Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) if she secured a hotel suite for her at the Metro Court.

Joss argued this would send her mom some major red flags. Joss also pointed out that Britt has things to hide, so they were even.

Britt denied any illegal activity at the 5 Poppies Resort, but Josslyn warned that she was making a massive mistake trying to dodge things and not help the WSB bring whomever she was working for down.

This is when Brennan showed up and interrupted their conversation.

Brennan was very cordial as he introduced himself to a less-than-enthused Britt.

He asked if they could set up a meeting at his WSB office in Port Charles to talk about her presence at 5 Poppies.

Britt said that she was merely a guest at the resort, which Brendan agreed could delay a chat with him, but he warned that if she compromised any of his agents by exposing their WSB status, this could land her a one-way ticket to Steinmauer Prison.

Brennan also had a brief chat with Joss, letting her know he had an important new mission for her.

Across town, Carly paid Elizabeth “Liz” Webber (Rebecca Herbst) a visit to her home.

Carly wanted to know what Liz told the PCPD about overhearing her threaten Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).General Hospital Wednesday, October 8 Recap: Brennan Threatens Britt With Steinmauer Prison, Josslyn Scams Carly

Liz admitted she told the police, but they haven’t reached out, which means they are more concerned about other suspects.

This almost made Carly much more nervous, as Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) is a person of interest, as well.

Speaking of POIs, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) shared his theory about Drew no longer having his blackmail on them with Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr).

Of course, Portia made sure to hide that pregnancy test she had just taken before they started chatting!

Curtis felt as if Drew likely lost the blackmail evidence he had on them, because if it was still in his safe, the PCPD would have found it when they searched his home.

This would have made them both main suspects in his shooting, and the police have yet to follow up with either of them.

Still, Curtis wanted his theory confirmed, so he and Portia set up a test for Drew to see if he’d dangle the blackmail over their heads if pushed to do so, or back down.

Of course, Drew backed down when Portia got aggressive, which had the couple realizing they were finally free of Drew’s grip.

Meanwhile, Drew had some drama himself on the October 8 show.

After a visit from Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen), who wasn’t supposed to be in his room as she was working in the ER, he asked her to move in with him again, and she refused.

Willow felt as if doing so would ruin her chances of getting her kids back. During their conversation, Willow received a message regarding her custody/visitation case.

As a new judge was assigned to the matter, the next court date was set for January 2026.

Willow had a meltdown at the very thought of not seeing Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver), and Amelia Corinthos (Sequoia and Serenity Mork Macko) until after the holidays and the new year.

She stormed out of work on a family emergency, but not before she saw Brennan warning Britt; something Willow brought up to her when Britt stopped her out of concern, looking to help.

Willow was quick to point out that from the looks of her conversation with the WSB head, Britt should focus on her own problems.

Back to Drew, he summoned Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) to his room after the visit from Portia and Curtis.

Drew wanted to know if the PCPD had raided his safe and if the blackmailing docs he had on Portia were on the list of items they found.

Martin had a digital copy of what the police had in custody, and the documents weren’t there, which had the lawyer believing that either Curtis or Portia was the one to shoot Drew.

Still, Drew didn’t care about that, as he noted it was in Willow’s best interest that Michael takes the fall for his shooting.

Over at the Q mansion, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) left the estate, quite scornful at the slip-up with the search warrant.

Veronica “Ronnie” Bard (Erika Slezak) questioned the family on why the police would show up for a search warrant about the shooting of a congressman!

The family fills her in on how “everyone” in town hates Drew, but Michael did acknowledge that he’s a main suspect become of his issues with his uncle recently.

Michael takes a call and leaves the house, but not before making it clear that he’s at peace with Monica Quartermaine’s (Leslie Charleson) decision to give her sister their family home.

Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) also thanked Ronnie with a handshake for delaying the police’s search, declaring that Ronnie was family, as she was Monica’s sister.

Jason gets a message and leaves the home, rather quickly.

Anna and Harrison Chase (Joshua Swickard) are back at the station, as the police commissioner worries that due to the search warrant document error, they’ve lost the element of surprise and the chance that Jason or Michael tampered with evidence.

They get a new warrant, show up at the Quartermaines; however, after the search is complete, no gun is found.

Over at the gym, Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) sadly reacts to Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri’s (Giovanni Mazza) declaration that he’s moving out, but not before Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) show up and interrupt them.

After the boys box a little and the girls chat, Trina encourages Emma to talk to Gio about her feelings.

Emma approaches Gio and tells him that she ruined everything with that kiss. He stops her and they both admit they have feelings for each other!

They kiss, once again, and it looks like the Gemma romance is solidified!

In the final moments of the show, Jason shows up at the docks to see Brennan waiting for him, as the WSB agent says, that there’s no Carly, just him.

Meanwhile, Carly walks into her kitchen, shocked to see Josslyn crying as she notes that S. Vaughn (Bryce Durfee) lied to her and that she just found out he’s a WSB agent.

Michael is then shown at Liz’s door, looking sketchy, as he asks the nurse if he can see Willow, and Liz lets him in.

General Hospital spoilers tease that Michael looks like he’s up to no good, so fans will need to tune into the October 9 episode to see what kind of shadiness will unfold.
