General Hospital Spoilers: Elizabeth Turns to Dante with Nina “Stroke” Suspicions
General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest that Elizabeth “Liz” Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) could turn to Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) with some “stroke” concerns she has, and how Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) may be linked to it all.
GH fans may recall that when Liz recently paid Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) a visit, he began blinking an “SOS” message to her, and Nina was conveniently there helping Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) out with caregiving duties.
While Liz should have been concerned about Drew’s message, she was positively optimistic.
There’s no reason for the nurse to believe that Drew’s in danger, so she saw this as a great sign that Drew might be ready for some tools to help him communicate with loved ones.
Liz told Nina about it, but with all the shenanigans that the woman is involved in, she failed to tell Willow about the nurse’s comments.
When Liz approached Willow about her suggestion to Nina, her friend was a bit confused, so it seemed like Nina hadn’t relayed this important piece of information to her daughter.
This left Liz perplexed and annoyed, but the nurse does have a lot on her plate, so she never further looked into it.
Fast forward to the Monday, May 11 episode, and Nina rushed Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) to the hospital after accidentally injecting him with Drew’s meds.
Nina was trying to defuse a situation that had erupted between Brennan and his rival, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), so when she arrived at the hospital, she made up a story about what had happened.
When Liz questioned Nina for Brennan’s medical records and to help the doctors figure out what happened, Nina simply claimed Brennan popped by for a visit and then all of a sudden collapsed.
Of course, General Hospital viewers know that the drug Nina stabbed Brennan with is what’s keeping Drew in his state of paralysis and what triggered the man’s “stroke” to begin with.
At the end of Monday’s show, Liz talked to Lucas Jones (Van Hansis), asking the good doctor about the odds of two otherwise healthy men having a stroke, mere months apart, in the same house.
Nina has landed herself in quite the mess right now, as Liz’s Spidey senses are tingling.
Add in the fact that she has been the only person to take Drew’s rapid blinking seriously, and Nina may have a problem on her hands.
Meanwhile, Liz has developed an interesting friendship with Dante.
She recently helped him crack the code where WSB Director Ross Cullum’s (Andrew Hawkes) shooting is concerned.
Liz not only slipped him some confidential hospital lab reports, but she also spilled the beans on Rocco Falconeri’s (Finn Carr) hand injury, pointing to him as Cullum’s shooter.
It does seem as if Liz and Dante are slowly gravitating toward a relationship, despite the fact that she’s dating reformed-baddie Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst).
With that said, another round of bonding over an investigation could secure the closeness these two need to “lock in” (pun intended) a romance, and this “stroke” investigation may do the trick.
Still, as Nina seems to be the main element in these strokes, both acting as a caregiver to Drew and bringing Brennan into emergency with his symptoms, will the evidence they find regarding these stroke mysteries implicate the Crimson Editor or Willow?
General Hospital spoilers suggest that Willow would easily throw her mom under the bus if it meant saving her own skin, so it’ll be interesting to see how this all plays out.
