General Hospital Friday, May 8 Recap: Sonny Pulls Gun on Ric – Nina Injects Brennan with Drew’s Syringe
General Hospital , Recap , Soap Opera , Spoiler , Television General Hospital (GH) recap for Friday, May 8, reveals that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) made a shocking move against Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) while Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) took drastic action as well. Once Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) arranged things with Nina, he grabbed his weapon and left Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) property. Carly ended up at Café Cherie with Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) and Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) soon after, so she announced her breakup from Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna).
Carly spoke with Lucas alone to fish for info on whether he told Josslyn she was cheating. Lucas didn’t come clean about the secret spillage, so Carly ultimately knew she had to get Josslyn’s side of the story. At Willow Cain’s (Katelyn MacMullen) and Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) house, Nina took Drew to the bedroom and scrambled to inject him since he was overdue.
Nina wasn’t able to give Drew that injection before Brennan showed up at the door, thinking she had info on Valentin. Nina hid the syringe under a nearby toy truck and claimed she wanted to talk to Brennan about his deal with Willow. After some bickering about the leverage Willow needed on Drew, Nina suddenly started trying to get him to leave in a hurry.
Valentin popped up moments later with a gun in his hand and wasn’t happy about Nina trying to betray him. As he held that gun on Brennan, Valentin demanded to know where Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) was. However, Brennan was surprised by the news that Josslyn was missing.
Brennan and Valentin eventually got into a struggle over the gun, so Nina panicked, thinking one of them could get shot. That led to Nina grabbing the nearby syringe and jabbing Brennan with it, so he got a dose of Drew’s paralytic and looked stunned. Meanwhile, Drew looked horrified as he listened to all the chaos playing out in the other room.
After Ethan Lovett (Nathan Dean) told Sonny about Ric meeting with Ava Jerome (Maura West) at the gallery, Sonny wanted to confront Ric tonight. Next, Ric and Ava met with a mystery man off-screen before he handed over an envelope of money for her part in the deal. Sonny eventually showed up with Ethan and pulled a gun on Ric as he warned about betraying him for the last time.
At Lulu Spencer’s (Alexa Havins Bruening) house, she fumed as “Nathan West” aka Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) once again pushed her to get Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) out of town. “Nathan” warned about the urgency since Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) was out of GH and probably on the verge of figuring out that Rocco shot him if he hadn’t already done it. “Nathan,” at least thought Lulu should take Rocco to see Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) and Ace Cassadine (Karis and Kieran Barry) in Ireland, but she knew Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) would ask questions.
Lulu clearly resented “Nathan” for acting like she was stupid and didn’t know what was best for her child. It wasn’t necessary to run with Rocco yet, so Lulu held firm and let “Nathan” know he could consider himself removed from the situation. In Dante’s office, he summoned Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and admitted that the other blood from the gun didn’t belong to Cullum.
Liz came clean about Rocco’s hand injury from that night, consistent with one from a slide bite. Dante realized Rocco would indeed be someone Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) would protect, so he felt awful for not realizing his son was involved sooner. Dante determined that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and Lulu must know as well, so he was overwhelmed and upset over all the secret-keeping.
General Hospital spoilers say Dante will corner Lulu for answers soon, so stick with the ABC soap. CDL’s where you want to be for great General Hospital spoilers and news, so make us your favorite GH hotspot.
