Michael has big plans that could destroy Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) marriage, but he’s been working hard to justify them.

After Michael told Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) about his plot to push Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) into an affair, she had some concerns about Brook Lynn. Hurting Brook Lynn obviously isn’t Michael’s goal, but she’s going to be collateral damage if his scheme works. Michael isn’t thrilled about the pain Brook Lynn will have to endure, but he feels like she’ll be better off in the long run.

GH fans know it hurt when Michael was cheated on and the whole thing went public, but he’s glad to have seen Willow’s true colors. Michael wants Brook Lynn to see Chase for who he really is as well and obviously thinks Chase is going to break her heart. Of course, Michael can’t force Chase to betray Brook Lynn with Willow.

Chase is responsible for his own actions, but that doesn’t mean Michael is blameless in all this. After all, Michael wouldn’t like it if someone secretly tried to push Jacinda Bracken (Paige Herschell) to cheat on him! You can bet Michael would explode on anyone who set a plot like that in motion.

That’s why Michael should be prepared for some backlash since Brook Lynn is inevitably going to find out what he’s up to. Perhaps Michael will take Chase right to the edge of cheating before he learns Brook Lynn’s been lying to him about being the other driver the night of Jordan Ashford’s (Tanisha Harper) crash. In other words, Michael may strike the match before Brook Lynn fuels the flame leading to Chase’s betrayal with Willow.

There’ll be plenty of blame to go around if Willow and Chase hit the sheets, but Brook Lynn will surely blast Michael for his twisted plan. Brook Lynn will have every right to rip into Michael, especially if the scandal plays a role in Phoebe’s possible adoption falling through. General Hospital spoilers suggest Brook Lynn has some heartache and fury in her future, so stay tuned for any terrible news to come.
