The Young and the Restless Spoilers Thursday, April 9: Claire Rescues Holden BY Heather Hughes on April 7, 2026 | Comments: Leave Comments Related : Hot News , Soap Opera , Spoiler , Television , The Young and the Restless The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Thursday, April 9, reveal that Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) will be drawn to Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) as he shows her a more vulnerable version of himself. Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will also need some help from Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland), who’ll be glad to step up. Although Lily was hopeful about being the donor match who could save Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore), that isn’t possible due to her past cancer treatment.

Lily isn’t a viable candidate, so she’ll still be struggling over that on Thursday’s Y&R episode.

It turns out Lily will rely on Traci for support, so she may spill sick Malcolm’s secret knowing that Traci will stay tight-lipped. Even if Lily doesn’t divulge all the details, she’ll tell Traci enough to get a pep talk and some good advice.

Speaking of good advice, Claire may have some as well once she comes to Holden’s rescue. Holden will be spinning out after learning Malcolm is his biological father and that his stem cells could help save Malcolm’s life.

Claire should get Holden’s bio dad news along with the revelation that Lily is his half-sister.

Once Holden admits he might hold Malcolm’s fate in his hands, he may ask for Claire’s perspective on all this. Claire has some issues over Holden’s secrecy regarding what happened in Los Angeles, but she thinks he’s a good guy at his core. As a result, Claire may doubt that Holden will be able to live with himself if he sits back and does nothing.

That said, Claire will understand that Holden is overwhelmed and that choice is his alone.

The fact that Holden’s willing to confide in Claire like this may really bring them closer. Over with Malcolm and Dr.

Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox), they’ll have a chance to speak privately about the paternity secret and how much pain she’s caused.

Stephanie will be deeply sorry over her delayed confession, but she’ll be committed to doing things right from now on.

Malcolm will just hope Holden’s willing to get tested and that his bio son can be the one to save his life.
