General Hospital Monday, March 23 Recap: Rocco Shoots Cullum, Britt Unconscious, Cops Hunt Jason

General Hospital (GH) recap for Monday, March 23, reveals that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) found himself at the center of some major police drama before Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) made a life-changing decision.

Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) also lost consciousness during a faceoff, so let’s discuss all the mayhem that played out.

Outside the high school gymnasium, Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) wondered what was going on as he watched Jason hand over his firearm to Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna).

Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) tried to drag Danny off, but they turned around in horror after Jason headbutted Dante to gain the upper hand.

Jason told Danny that he loved him and said not to follow him, so Dante put out an APB on Jason after he ran away.

Since Dante said the suspect was to be considered armed and dangerous, Danny complained since Jason surrendered his gun.

Dante argued that Jason might have another one, but Danny worried about Jason getting shot if he was found.

In Alexis’ office, Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) was a bloody mess on the floor thanks to Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) stabbing him.

Cullum wiped off his knife and checked Marco’s phone, which let him know Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) was meeting Britt at Pier 55.

Cullum turned out the light and left Marco bleeding. Although Marco tried to reach his phone on the desk, he was too weak and fell back down.

In Britt’s room, Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) called out Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) for snooping.

Brennan insisted he didn’t need a warrant and wanted to find Britt ASAP, but Nathan insisted he didn’t know where she was.

Jack expressed distrust of Nathan since he’d done some digging into Nathan’s missing nears and found nothing.

That either meant someone worked hard to cover for Nathan without his knowledge or that he was up to his neck in it.

Since Britt’s luggage was gone along with many of her belongings, Brennan and Nathan realized she may have taken off.

Nathan and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) eventually helped Dante in the aftermath of Jason’s bold move.

Since Jason was willing to hurt Dante and run away in front of Danny, the cops knew something huge must be going on.

Since Brennan didn’t mention anything about the WSB’s warrant for Jason’s arrest, Nathan was perplexed.

However, Dante offered a reminder that Brennan couldn’t be trusted.

Brennan didn’t appreciate being summoned, but he eventually came down to the high school to answer questions and insisted he didn’t know anything about the WSB going after Jason.

After Alexis and Danny gave their statements, Danny bickered with his grandma outside the law office while wounded Marco remained on the other side of the door.

In Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) office, Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) let her know he’d been offered a big case in Reno and would be leaving town for a while.

Although Martin hated to leave Laura, she offered reassurance.

Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) eventually came along and admitted he was behind the Reno case since Martin was getting too suspicious.

Sidwell implied that he’d kill Martin if he figured out their arrangement and suggested Laura should be thanking him.

Laura also learned that Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) had learned to cooperate with Sidwell, who felt it’d be easier for Laura if she did the same.

Sidwell pointed out that he knew exactly where Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) and Ace Cassadine (Kiernan and Karis Barry) were in Ireland.

Laura fumed and tried to get Sidwell to put himself in her shoes since he wouldn’t react well if Marco were threatened.

At GH, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) found out Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) was calling the baby “Phoebe” and heard about the foster parent plan.

Tracy worried Brook Lynn might be using Phoebe to get past her marriage problems with Chase and feared Brook Lynn would be devastated once it was time to give the baby up, but Brook Lynn knew this was something she had to do.

On Pier 55, Britt was grateful to Lucas for coming through with the medication vials, so they shared an emotional goodbye.

Lucas thought Jason should be there by now since he was running away with Britt, but she insisted he was coming.

Rocco listened to all this around the corner and was horrified when Cullum confronted Britt at gunpoint after Lucas left.

Britt surrendered the medicine vials, so Cullum crushed them and tossed more threats around.

Britt realized Cullum was going to drag her back to Wyndemere to finish the prototype and ultimately got into a struggle with him, which led to her hitting her head on a box as she fell.

Britt was unconscious when Cullum decided she was more trouble than she was worth and lifted his gun to shoot her.

Suddenly, Jason pummeled Cullum, who dropped the gun during all the drama.

Cullum pulled out another weapon and was about to attack Jason when Rocco shot the WSB director in the back.
