The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) may get backed into another difficult corner. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) always seems to put Michael in one, so let’s talk about the tight spot that may be brewing.

Y&R fans know Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) recently offered Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) a position at Summers Conglomerate, which was formerly known as Newman Enterprises.

Despite Michael’s reservations about Lauren getting caught in the crossfire, that’s a risk she’s willing to take.

Lauren is aching for a new challenge, so she accepted Phyllis’ job offer in the March 18 episode.

Of course, it won’t be long until Victor discovers Lauren’s big news.

You can be sure Victor will confront Michael sooner or later and perhaps demand some answers.

The fact that Michael is supporting whatever his wife decides may upset Victor at first, but then he might decide he can use the situation with Lauren to his advantage.

Victor might set some spy games in motion by pushing Michael to score any information he can from Lauren and report back.

Perhaps Victor could even encourage Michael to pretend he wants a job at Summers Conglomerate just so he can play double agent.

Whatever the case, Victor may feel like he needs to know Phyllis’ plans if he’s going to sabotage her.

Although Victor doesn’t want to harm the Newman empire that he’s trying to get back, he could still make some dirty moves against Phyllis herself and make her time on the throne miserable.

With Michael’s sneaky intel, Victor could swoop in and steal deals before Phyllis has a chance to make them.

Phyllis could hit roadblocks at every turn if Victor tries to wear her down and convince her to surrender.

Victor could also pressure Michael to get Lauren on their side.

Perhaps Victor could view Lauren as someone who could eventually get through to Phyllis and encourage her to give the Newmans back their company.

Lauren celebrated Phyllis’ win over Victor, but she might change her tune if this whole thing starts to feel like a curse.

Victor could make it seem that way depending on whatever blows he’s willing to deliver in the coming episodes.

Maybe Victor could even get Michael to steal Phyllis’ laptop for hacking or something along those lines.

Victor could potentially hire an even better hacker to break in the system and change ownership like Phyllis did while Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) was chloroformed.

Regardless, Victor will surely try to find some way to use Lauren’s position at the company and try to make it work in his favor.

Michael may be forced to manipulate his own wife, which could lead to trouble in his marriage!
