Sasha Vs. Yara: 90 Day Fiance Celebs Take Sides on War
90 Day Fiance stars Yara Zaya and Sasha Larin show pride for their countries despite moving to America to be with their significant others. But now, opposing views on the war in Ukraine start to ruffle feathers.
90 Day Fiance: Sasha Larin and Yara Zaya from Different Lands
Sasha Larin from 90 Day Fiance is currently living in his homeland of Russia with his wife Emily McCue Larina and their son David Larin. The family made their way over there when things became too complicated to stay in America during the pandemic.
Yara Zaya (Jovi Dufren’s wife) is from Ukraine. However, this couple does continue to live in Louisiana with their daughter Mylah Durfren.

Both of these 90 Day Fiance alums have a special love for their home countries.
Yara Zaya even tells her husband’s family upon first arriving in America that the only reason she is there is for him. She says several times on the show that she prefers living in Ukraine and would consider going back.
Sasha, who is currently living in Russia, says he loves his country too.
This is causing conflict among many 90 Day Fiance cast members. The New York Times reports that the war is already affecting both the Ukraine and Russian economies in a negative way.
TLC Stars Show Support
90 Day Fiance stars like Yara Zaya, Natalie Mordovtseva, and Alla Fedoruk are from Ukraine. They are currently dealing with the stress of the war.
Sasha Larin surprised some fans and said, “I am an old Russian ARMENIAN, and I will defend the interests of the Motherland.” This and other comments suggests he supports Russia and their move to invade Ukraine.
I am thinking of Yara, Julia, Natalie and Andrei and their families in Ukraine and Moldova. I hope they are all safe. #90DayFiance
