General Hospital Tuesday, February 24 Recap: Jason Lies to Cullum, Chase Confesses, Nathan’s Plea to Lulu
General Hospital (GH) recap for Tuesday, February 24, reveals that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) deceived Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) during a grilling session while Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) hoped to save Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud).
Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) also hoped for a real chance with Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening), so here’s how Tuesday’s action went down.
At Brown Dog Bar, Nathan shocked Lulu with the news that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) chose to continue her life with Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson).
Nathan admitted that if Maxie had picked him, he would’ve stood by their marriage.
That said, Nathan preferred the idea of exploring things with Lulu, who was hesitant since she didn’t want to hurt Maxie.
Nathan thought Maxie would want him to move on too and suggested the awkwardness would be worth it.
Lulu nearly reached for Nathan’s hand before changing her mind, but he wondered if she really wanted things to be over between them.
At Wyndemere, Lucas had to leave before dessert since the hospital summoned him.
Pascal (Marc Forget) clashed a bit with Lucas, so Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) privately scolded him and made it clear that he could handle the Lucas situation.
Meanwhile, Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) stepped outside with Lucas, who confirmed he’d be back later.
Marco urged Lucas to call before he returned and bid him farewell.
Afterward, Marco spoke with Sidwell about perhaps getting a place with Lucas on the mainland, but Sidwell needed Marco there to help deal with Britt.
Marco tried another angle by suggesting Lucas could get his own place instead, so Sidwell questioned if Lucas was unhappy at Wyndemere.
Sidwell also wondered if Lucas had become aware of something he shouldn’t be aware of.
Marco lied about Lucas still being in the dark on the project, so Sidwell insisted sending Lucas away would only arouse suspicion.
As Pascal eavesdropped nearby, Sidwell urged Marco to keep Lucas close instead.
In Jack Brennan’s (Chris McKenna) office, he summoned Jason and warned about the dangerous situation for Britt since Cullum was digging for Five Poppies Resort information.
Brennan suggested that Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) was the link between the Five Poppies and what happened to Anna Devane (Finola Hughes).
Since Cullum planned to question Jason, Brennan pushed Jason to divulge as little as possible.
After Brennan hinted about the danger for Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), that left Jason furious and concerned.
Brennan confessed he made a mistake in recruiting Josslyn and that Cullum would be far less judicious if he were selecting her assignments.
That’s why Brennan had hidden Josslyn’s WSB file and tried to keep Cullum out the loop.
Cullum eventually showed up and questioned Jason alone, but Jason insisted he had no interest in talking to him.
After Cullum asked him about the security breach at the Five Poppies anyway, Jason acknowledged that he went to save Britt because he saw her alive in Paris and cared about her due to their previous involvement.
However, Jason insisted he didn’t care what was happening at the Five Poppies and didn’t know anything.
Once Britt got settled back in Port Charles and resumed her work at the hospital, Jason acted like she was done with him.
At one point, Cullum also paid a visit to GH, where he warned Britt that the next step was building a working prototype based on all her research.
If Britt couldn’t deliver one that worked, then Cullum would find someone else who could.
Once Lucas showed up, he told Britt that he knew about Sidwell and Marco exploiting her.
Lucas insisted Marco told him everything, but Britt pushed him to just forget it since there was so much danger involved here.
Although Britt thought Lucas should cut Marco loose, he insisted Marco agreed with him about getting away from Sidwell and all this drama.
That said, Lucas insisted they couldn’t get out until Britt was free, too.
Britt acknowledged that her medication doses were under lock and key at Wyndemere, so Lucas hinted about snooping and stealing a dose for reverse engineering.
After pulling back from Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) kiss and slapping him, ADA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) insisted that could never happen again.
At the hatchet range later, Justine opened up to Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) about acting unprofessional and letting her guard down with Sonny.
Jordan quizzed ADA Turner, who insisted she wouldn’t hesitate to prosecute Sonny if she scored evidence against him.
Although Jordan thought that was good to know, she also warned Justine about the dangers of getting in Sonny’s way.
At Sonny’s place, he summoned Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) and filled him in on the kiss, so Ric worried ADA Turner might try to accuse Sonny of harassment.
Sonny dismissed that idea, but Ric feared Justine might be manipulating Sonny to score evidence and launch his downfall.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) confessed to Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) that although he didn’t plant Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) key on Michael Corinthos’ (Rory Gibson) keychain, he tested the keys at Drew’s house and confirmed Michael had one.
Chase knew the evidence would be inadmissible if he came forward with that information, so he encouraged Nathan to check Michael’s keys instead.
Brook Lynn was outraged over Chase putting his job on the line and getting fixated on Michael revenge when Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) was already free.
Chase argued this was about seeking justice, but Brook Lynn warned he was risking their chance to adopt a child.
With that in mind, Brook Lynn pushed Chase to choose between his justice mission and their family goal.
General Hospital spoilers say Chase will have to make a decision that could change his life, so stay tuned.
