General Hospital (GH) recap for Friday, February 20, reveals that the show delivered a powerful tribute to both Luke Spencer and Anthony Geary, the incredible actor who brought him to life for so many years.

After Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) stumbled upon an old photo of Luke, she got emotional and wound up running into Tracy Quartermaine’s (Jane Elliot) arms at the Quartermaine mansion.

Tracy realized this was about Luke and decided to help Lulu grieve him properly since she never had a chance to.

Luke died while Lulu was in a coma, so Tracy set out to help her cope with her feelings and honor his memory.

Lulu lit a candle at the church and sat on a pew with Tracy briefly, but she ultimately realized this didn’t feel right.

Churches weren’t Luke’s thing, so Tracy ended up bribing the guy at Brown Dog Bar to let them have the place to themselves before it opened.

While Lulu and Tracy shared a drink for Luke, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) stopped by Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) place to pick up something Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears) had forgotten.

Since Donna had found a poker chip earlier, that led to Carly and Sonny reminiscing about Luke.

Sonny took the poker chip with him, but Carly was surprised when another one appeared in her purse later.

In Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) office, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) talked to her about Aiden Webber (Colin Cassidy) getting his license and being obsessed with picking out the perfect car, so Laura thought he got that love of cars from Luke.

Once Luke was in Laura’s thoughts, she ended up at the church and thought back on their love story.

Laura tearfully admitted Luke had never left her since she still felt his presence, so she thanked him for the love of a lifetime.

At Bobbie’s, Laura stopped by and spoke with Carly, so they realized they’d both been thinking about Luke and wondered why.

However, Laura suggested it didn’t have to be a special occasion to remember someone you loved and lost.

After Sonny saw Lulu’s car outside Brown Dog Bar, he headed inside to check on her.

Lulu was still celebrating Luke’s life with Tracy, so Sonny joined them for a drink and more reminiscing.

Carly, Elizabeth and Laura all landed at the bar as well after getting texts on Friday’s GH episode.

The whole gang thought back on Luke moments before Sonny mentioned an old tradition of releasing lanterns in memory of someone.

Tracy seemingly arranged for some lanterns on her phone since they all headed to the pier, where candlelit lanterns were indeed placed in the water.

Laura advised Lulu about her farewell to Luke being more of a “see you later,” so that’s what Lulu said to Luke’s ghost in the fog.

After Luke’s loved ones shared one last whiskey toast to Luke, Laura returned to her office and learned her assistant had picked up an early birthday card for Aiden.

Once Laura looked at it, she realized the car on the front looked like the vintage one Luke drove.

Laura, Liz, Carly, Sonny and Tracy all had separate Luke flashbacks while Lulu headed home.

Lulu put Luke’s framed photo out before finding a poker chip in her pocket.

After Lulu thanked Luke for his luck and love, she placed the poker chip next to his picture.

General Hospital spoilers say the regular action will resume in Port Charles now that Luke’s special episode is over, but that was certainly a lovely tribute to Luke and the late Anthony Geary!
