Joe plots to destroy Cain’s life forever in early Emmerdale ITVX release
The following article contains spoilers from the episode of Emmerdale dated February 20. It hasn’t aired on ITV1 yet, but can be viewed on ITVX.
The case of the missing DeLorean left Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) an angry man in today’s episode of Emmerdale.
The troublesome Tate was seen at the start of the instalment driving the vehicle – made world famous as a result of the Back to the Future films – down a country road and into the village.
Joe had bought the car to surprise Dawn Taylor’s (Olivia Bromley) son Lucas. Earlier in the week, they watched one of the Back to the Future films together, and Joe told the youngster that it’s his favourite franchise of all time.
Joe parked the car outside the shop which meant a number of villagers were soon gathered around it.
Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) couldn’t resist a few snaps next to the vehicle, while Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah) started looking at Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) in a different light when she reeled off her knowledge on the car.
Wandering by were Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) and Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill). Neither were impressed to learn that Joe had bagged himself another posh car, and suddenly realised they were looking at a perfect opportunity to teach him a lesson.
After boasting to Dawn and Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle), Joe took them outside the pub to show off the car. To his shock though, it was gone.
This was because it was parked right beside Cain and Sarah, who were sitting on the outskirts of a field, thrilled with their theft.
Given the ongoing situation with Butler’s Farm and Joe attempting to take over it, he automatically assumed Cain was behind the car going missing.
Outside a barn, Joe sensed the car was behind the doors, but he knew Cain wasn’t just going to open them and give the vehicle up.

He decided against Cain’s idea of handing him £200 in exchange for the car, and walked away.
In the pub, Joe grew incredibly frustrated when Cain took pleasure in winding him up about the missing vehicle.
Never one to lose a fight, Joe told Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) that their main priority now is to turn Cain’s life upside down by any means necessary.
