General Hospital Wednesday, February 18 Recap: Police Confirm Michael Has Drew’s House Key – Willow’s Good Heart

General Hospital (GH) recap for Wednesday, February 18, reveals that Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) got some troubling confirmation after a phone call came in. It left Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) in another legal jam, so here’s how Wednesday’s GH episode went down.

In Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) office, she told Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) and Suzanne (Jen Ray) about Laura Collins (Genie Francis) wanting to recommend her to the governor when it came to filling Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) Congress seat.

Although Alexis was uncertain about the idea, Suzanne and Molly convinced her that she should pursue this.

At Crimson, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) made a pitch to Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) about having a party for the kids now that they’d be spending more time with her.

Willow approved the party plan, but she complained about Michael only compromising because he was afraid he’d lose all his custody rights if he faced shooting charges.

Next, Willow mentioned that some of Drew’s political associates wanted her to fill his Congress seat.

Nina offered to help Willow since her influence and connections were what gave Drew that political opportunity in the first place.

Although Nina made a mistake in backing Drew along with everyone who voted for him, she felt things would be different with Willow because of her good heart.

Nina ultimately suggested Michael could work around Willow’s schedule when it came to the kids and felt that Willow should think about putting Drew in a facility.

Since Drew couldn’t finish out his term, Nina was confident that he’d want Willow to step up.

In the Quartermaine kitchen, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) brought Molly’s manuscript to Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) and encouraged him to read it to the end since the character based on him grew into someone with depth.

Cody snapped about waiting until it was published and was surprised to learn Molly was turning down the book deal because of his feelings.

Kristina eventually convinced Cody give the manuscript a real chance and prove he was the hero Molly believed he was.

As Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) talked about Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) awakening in Laura’s office, she suggested a real friend wouldn’t have kissed Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) and wanted a romance with him while Maxie was away.

Laura cut Lulu some slack and knew the situation must be complicated for Nathan, too.

However, Lulu wanted Maxie to have her happy ending with Nathan and assumed Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) would bow out so that could happen, too.

At Maxie’s place, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) showed up with homecoming party supplies and found Spinelli worrying Maxie was going to choose Nathan over him.

Brook Lynn felt that Maxie deserved to have a say in this before Spinelli made assumptions.

Despite Maxie’s love for Nathan, she also chose Spinelli after Nathan was gone.

Once Spinelli had renewed hope that Maxie might pick him now, he decided to sweep her off her feet and sought Brook Lynn’s help.

At the police station, Nathan gave Dante the news that Michael willingly handed over his keys, so Dante thought that was a good sign.

That key set and some stray keys from Aurora had been passed along to forensics.

If Michael was the shooter, Nathan doubted that he’d actually leave a key to Drew’s house on his keychain, but Dante knew they had to do things by the book and check anyway.

Nathan called to put a result on the results and wound up talking to Dante about Maxie in the meantime.

Since Maxie had moved on with Spinelli while Nathan was gone, he didn’t want to become an obligation for her.

Nathan also quizzed Dante about his own situation with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and comatose Lulu, but the timing and circumstances were different according to Dante.

After Nathan hinted about his willingness to reunite with Maxie because of James West (Gary James Fuller), Dante insisted Nathan had to want that reunion for himself.

Dante eventually got a call from forensics and relayed a shocker to Nathan.

Since there was a key to Drew’s place on Michael’s key ring, Dante assumed his brother had lied.

General Hospital spoilers say Michael’s about to land in more trouble with the law, so stay tuned.
