B&B fans will recall how hurt and angry Eric Forrester (John McCook) was when he walked into a surprise retirement party.

Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) was adamant about shoving Eric out the door, but Eric clearly wasn’t ready to stop designing.

Although Ridge insisted he was worried about his dad’s health, Eric still felt cast aside and wound up volunteering to design at Katie Logan Spencer’s (Heather Tom) fashion house.

Eric was ready to prove Ridge wrong and go head-to-head with Forrester Creations, so the show had the makings of a fantastic rivalry.

That’s especially true since the conflict between Katie and Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) added to the mess!

Sadly, it seems like the fashion feud has taken a backseat to yet another medical crisis story for Eric.

How many times is Eric going to have a health setback?

It’s a shame to see the show pivot to Eric having his latest medical episode, particularly since it proves Ridge’s concerns were warranted.

Where’s the fun in having Ridge be right all along?

Shouldn’t Eric have had a real chance to shine at Logan?

On social media, many fans are fed up for multiple reasons.

In addition to being sick of the repeated health drama for Eric, there have been complaints about Ridge and Brooke always coming out on top.

It would’ve been nice to see Eric thrive at Logan, deliver some amazing designs and knock the Forresters’ socks off.

The show at least could’ve had Eric’s secret come out in a more triumphant way.

Following Katie and Bill Spencer’s (Don Diamont) designer confession, Right’s fight with his dad will end in catastrophe for Eric.

The focus will once again be on Eric’s health, so it’s easy to see why viewers are feeling let down and blowing up social media with criticism.

Even if Katie’s able to keep Logan going in the months ahead, it won’t be the same without the Eric and Ridge fashion battle that was brewing.
