General Hospital Tuesday, February 17 Recap: Michael Surrenders Keys – Sidwell’s Funeral Warning

General Hospital (GH) recap for Tuesday, February 17, reveals that Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) surrendered his keys when faced with a search warrant. Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) also delivered a funeral warning, so here’s how all the drama played out.

In Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) office, she summoned Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and pitched the idea of her taking over Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) congressional seat until a special election could be held.

Laura had been asked to submit a recommendation, so she explained why Alexis would be a good fit and got her to think about it.

At GH, Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) surprised Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) by resigning from her nursing job.

Liz hated to see Willow go, but Willow was adamant about giving her full attention to her children and caring for Drew.

Next, Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) admitted to seeing Elizabeth with Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) on Valentine’s Day and was grateful that Liz was keeping an open mind about him.

At the Metro Court, Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) shut down Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) attempt to plan a family dinner that included Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) and Sidwell.

Lucas apologized since Carly was right about Marco being involved in Sidwell’s business, but he couldn’t give her details and refused to spill to the authorities since Marco could be arrested.

Lucas insisted that Sidwell manipulated Marco after the loss of his mother and that Marco would distance himself from Sidwell when their project was over.

Carly wanted Lucas to leave Wyndemere ASAP, but Lucas insisted he wouldn’t leave until he could take Marco with him.

Over with Ric and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), they were sitting at a Metro Court table when ADA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) popped up.

Justine offered some positive updates on Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) since he was racking up lots of community service hours and would likely complete them sooner than anticipated.

Ric picked up on the intriguing vibe between them, so he quizzed Sonny after ADA Turner was gone.

Sonny played up Justine’s good qualities, but Ric wanted to know if Sonny was interested in Justine as a woman.

At Wyndemere, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) showed up to give Sidwell the news that Maxie was awake and demand a full audit.

Tracy wanted documentation on all of the shipments Sidwell handled, but he clearly wasn’t happy about that.

Although Tracy wanted to go back to their original terms where Sidwell only supplied the zincite, he made it clear that he’d like for their current arrangement to continue instead.

Once Sidwell had Pascal (Marc Forget) get rid of Tracy, Pascal told Sidwell about watching Lucas eavesdrop.

It led to Pascal suggesting that Marco might be keeping secrets if Lucas had confronted him.

Sidwell warned Pascal not to question Marco’s loyalty, but Pascal acted like Lucas was the problem and felt he should be dealt with.

However, Sidwell didn’t want to rock the boat with Marco unnecessarily.

When Pascal suggested that Lucas might convince Marco to leave Wyndemere, Sidwell doubted it since Marco understood that he had to be around to handle Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud).

That said, if Lucas did persuade Marco to leave, then Sidwell vowed to be there to console his son at Lucas’ funeral!

Afterward, Sidwell summoned Willow to the castle soon after, so she joined him on the parapet.

Once Sidwell played up Willow’s special qualities and experiences, he pointed out that it wasn’t unheard of for a spouse to finish out the term of an incapacitated member of Congress.

Sidwell suggested Willow was uniquely qualified to take over Drew’s place in Washington, so she was stunned.

At the Quartermaine mansion, things remained awkward between Michael and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), who felt they should keep their distance due to the ongoing Drew investigation.

That led to some bickering over Michael’s flimsy alibi and all the ways it backfired. Maxie tried to explain his actions and smooth things over a bit.

Dante had faith in Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) to uncover the real story, but Nathan was clearly feeling like they’d reached a dead end as he spoke with Molly, who was recusing herself from the case.

At the PCPD, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) pointed out to Nathan that he’d overlooked how Michael might’ve gotten into Drew’s place.

Since there was no sign of a break-in, Chase got Nathan to see that Michael might have his own key copy.

Once Nathan discussed the idea with Dante and ADA Turner later, Turner pushed for a search warrant.

Justine also spoke with Dante alone and admitted she was handing the case off to someone else. ADA Turner still thought Willow was guilty, so she insisted she was biased.

Dante wondered if there was more to it than that, so Justine acknowledged that charging Michael would be an admission that they got it wrong the first time.

That’s why ADA Turner didn’t want to be anywhere near this case and advised Dante to distance himself, too.

Back at the Q mansion, Chase pushed Michael to turn himself in, but Michael defended himself and insisted Willow was guilty.

Tracy took Michael’s side once she entered and found the confrontation in progress.

Nathan showed up with a search warrant since the cops were on the hunt for a key to Drew’s house.

Michael had no problem cooperating, so he suggested Nathan could start with his keychain and handed it over.

General Hospital spoilers say Michael’s in for a shock thanks to Willow’s frame-up move, so stay tuned.
