The Young and the Restless (Y&R) update for Monday, February 9, reveals that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will be willing to go behind Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) back while Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) takes a secret phone call.

At the Newman ranch on Monday’s Y&R episode, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will get Victor all riled up by making it seem like she doesn’t trust him.

Victor will once again insist he’d never put Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and the twins in harm’s way.

After Victor gets a notification on his phone, he’ll show Nikki photographic proof that Lily, Mattie Ashby (Lexie Stevenson) and Charlie Ashby (Noah Alexander Gerry) are all perfectly fine in a hotel room together.

At Newman Enterprises, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will worry Cane’s trying to pull the rug out from under him on their Chancellor deal.

The delay on Cane signing the contract will worry Billy, but Cane will act like it’s just a small speed bump.

Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will taunt Billy, but he’ll make it clear she’s just a sidekick and not Cane’s partner like she claims to be.

In Los Angeles, Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) will admit the reason for his business trip involves doing a personal favor for Cane, so Claire won’t be pleased.

After Holden updates Claire on the search for Cane’s missing family, she’ll be adamant that Victor wasn’t responsible.

Holden will head off to meet with Cane’s private investigator before calling Cane with news about someone in a baseball cap taking Lily and the twins somewhere.

When Cane asks how they seemed on the security footage, Holden will acknowledge that they looked afraid.

Cane will receive Victor’s pic of Lily and the twins in a hotel room together, so he’ll know Victor indeed has them.

Phyllis will push Cane to call Victor’s bluff, but he won’t be willing to take chances when Lily, Charlie and Mattie are involved.

At Society with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), Victoria will suggest going behind Victor’s back on another plan in case Victor’s own scheme doesn’t work.

After Victoria hints about taking Phyllis down over the AI program, she’ll think they can get her to flip on Cane. Nick won’t like doing something without Victor knowing about it.

There’ll also be some talk about Nick getting another pain med refill recently, so Victoria will want him to go easy on those pills.

Adam will have a hunch that Victor promised Chancellor to Lily when he got her on board with his fake kidnapping plot.

Victoria won’t like the idea of Victor ripping it away from Nikki, so she’ll hope Victor offered Lily something else.

Back at the Newman ranch, Victoria, Adam and Nick will arrive after being summoned.

Victor will let the three of them see that Lily and the twins are safe through the hotel pic on his phone.

Victor will believe Cane’s going to fold – and sure enough, Cane will come ready to make a deal soon after.

Cane will assure Victor that if he gets proof that Lily, Charlie and Mattie have been safely released, then Victor can have Newman Enterprises back.

While Billy grumbles and pours himself a drink at home, Phyllis will show up frantic over Cane throwing it all away.

Phyllis will warn that Cane’s about to ruin everything and push Billy to help her act quickly if he wants Chancellor.

In Los Angeles, Claire will chat over the phone with an art gallery owner.

Claire will pretend she forgot the previous owner’s name and act like she wanted to get in touch about some art from his private gallery.

After Claire identifies the man and pushes for info on how to find him now, she’ll keep her research efforts a secret from Holden.

Claire won’t want Holden to know she’s digging into Audra Charles’ (Zuleyka Silver) history, which could affect Holden too since he shares the same fatal secret.
