The Young and the Restless Wednesday, January 28 Recap: Cops Investigate as Abby Gets Hysterical
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Wednesday, January 28, reveals that the cops will investigate as Abby Winters (Melissa Ordway) gets hysterical. Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will also play a game with Dominic Winters (Ethan Ray Clark), so let’s talk about what’s coming up on Y&R.
At Crimson Lights, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will open up to Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) about Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) yanking the Newman family empire away from them.
Since Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) won’t be willing to divulge his next plan, Victoria will resolve to come up with one of her own.
At Society, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will give Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) updates on Jill Abbott’s (Jess Walton) illness, but she’ll also know she needs a good team supporting her without Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) involved at Abbott Communications.
That’s why Sally will hire Audra to be her second in command and plan to deal with Jill’s reaction later.
Once Nate and Victoria pop up, there’ll be plenty of awkward tension.
Sally will talk about Billy accepting Cane’s Chancellor deal and will plan to make sure the Newman coverage at Abbott Communications is fair.
Victoria won’t seem convinced that Sally can pull that off, but she’ll be curious to watch her try.
Audra will speak to Nate about Amy Lewis (Valarie Pettiford) as well, but he’ll be rather frosty with her.
After Victoria and Nate grab a table, she’ll vow to make sure Chancellor ends up back in Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) hands.
Nate will do his best to distract Victoria by suggesting they can talk about anything that’ll keep her smiling.
At the Chancellor residence, Abby will be freaking out since there’ll still be no sign of Dominic as night falls.
Devon Winters (Bryton James) will act like Dominic must be there somewhere, so they’ll put off calling the cops a bit longer.
Abby will grow increasingly concerned and will sense that something’s truly wrong.
Devon and Abby will end up contemplating the scarf he found outside earlier as they realize it may not belong to the nanny.
The nanny will get a pic of that scarf via text and confirm she’s never seen it before. Abby will get hysterical as she realizes someone must’ve been watching and waiting to snatch Dominic.
Devon will finally call the police as Abby wishes Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) were still alive to help search for Dom.
Abby will do the next best thing and send up a prayer to Chance as Dominic’s guardian angel.
An officer will question Devon and Abby about missing Dom as well as the scarf. Abby will cry in Devon’s arms over Dominic’s kidnapping, but he’ll promise they’re going to find him.
Meanwhile, Mariah will take Dominic back to her motel room and act like they’re playing a big game of hide and seek.
Dominic will end up washing his hands so he can have a cookie, so a vision of Ian Ward (Ray Wise) will appear while he’s in the bathroom.
Mariah will struggle with guilt over what she’s done, but “Ian” will act like there’s no need for that.
Instead, “Ian” will think Mariah should be proud and will feel certain that this reunion is what she needs along with Dominic.
“Ian” will suggest Mariah should tell a more manageable lie now and then eventually break the news that Dominic’s parents don’t want him anymore.
Once Dominic comes out of the bathroom, he’ll eat a cookie and seem upset over his mom not being there.
Mariah will act like they need to change hiding spots, but Dominic will worry his parents won’t find him if they go too far away.
However, Mariah will play up a surprise location and get Dominic excited about it.
Dominic will hide from Mariah as they play a smaller game of hide and seek in the room, so he’ll gush over having the best time.
Mariah will admit she feels the same way and will call Dom “Bowie” as she hugs him.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say some major twists and turns are ahead in Dominic’s kidnapping story, so stay tuned for all the escalating drama.
