General Hospital Monday, January 26 Recap: Britt Busted at Wyndemere, Josslyn Calls Brick, Jason’s Surveillance Plan

General Hospital (GH) recap for Monday, January 26, reveals that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) got busted at Wyndemere while Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) called Brick (Stephen A. Smith) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) came up with a surveillance plan.

At GH, Jason wanted to talk to Britt since he didn’t like how they left things before.

Britt asked Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) to be a witness in case she needed to file a restraining order.

If Jason ever cared about her, Britt pushed him to just leave her alone.

After Britt stomped off, she privately cried over having to push Jason away for his own good.

Jason apologized to Lucas since he didn’t mean for him to get pulled into all this.

Once Jason left, Lucas told Britt he understood about needing to leave things in the past sometimes.

At Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) place, Ava Jerome (Maura West) stopped by with something for Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola).

That gave Sonny an opportunity to warn Ava away from Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota), but she felt that was none of his business.

Sonny’s real goal was to push Ava in Sidwell’s direction so that she’d distract him along with Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring).

Once Jason came over, Sonny talked to him about that and questioned him about the Britt drama.

Sonny agreed with Jason about something scaring Britt away from their relationship.

Jason planned to put Britt under surveillance, but Sonny thought he should be cautious since Sidwell could be watching Jason, too.

At the Metro Court, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) approached Sidwell looking for a favor, but he refused to help her break up Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) and Lucas Jones (Van Hansis).

Instead, Sidwell suggested he could help Carly repair her relationship with Lucas.

After pushing Carly to be nice to Marco, he invited Carly to spend some time at Wyndemere.

Meanwhile, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) interrupted Brick’s attempt to ask Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) out to dinner sometime, so Jordan introduced them before grabbing a table with Curtis.

That led to a conversation about Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) stroke and Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) delaying the paternity test.

No matter what the DNA results were, Jordan acknowledged that they would affect Curtis’ future. However, Curtis corrected Jordan since it was THEIR future and shared a tender moment with her.

Back with Brick, he quizzed Carly about her conversation with Sidwell and made it clear that an alliance with the baddie wasn’t a good idea.

Once Ava joined Sidwell, she ordered a martini since she needed one after her tense interaction with Sonny.

Sidwell found out Sonny disapproved of Ava being in his orbit, but she planned to keep hanging out with Sidwell anyway.

After Sidwell suggested they could continue their bonding session back at Wyndemere, Ava got on board and said it’d give Sonny something to really be angry about.

Ava later backtracked a bit and didn’t want to cause more Sonny issues than necessary.

Sidwell worked to convince Ava that he had the Sonny situation under control.

At Wyndemere, Director Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) wasn’t happy about being summoned by Marco for a private discussion, but Marco didn’t want Sidwell involved.

Although Sidwell was blackmailing Sonny, Marco insisted it wasn’t enough. Since Marco feared Sonny could retaliate, he felt they should take Sonny out of the picture entirely.

Marco assured Cullum that this wasn’t about avenging Natalia Ramirez (Eva LaRue); it was about protecting their business.

On the pier, Josslyn met up with Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) and gave him updates on her visit to Wyndemere.

It went against Brennan’s orders, but he still wanted to hear what Josslyn learned.

Josslyn offered news on Marco’s “absolutely not” response to Lucas’ suggestion about exploring the catacombs.

Joss assumed that’s where Sidwell was hiding things pertaining to the project.

With the snowstorm approaching, Josslyn suggested it was a good time to carry out a search.

Joss assumed everyone at Wyndemere would travel to the mainland to make sure they kept power.

Brennan didn’t want Josslyn involved and preferred to wait until they could have a proper team in place.

Josslyn thought this was really about not wanting to risk Carly’s daughter.

Since Cullum was on his way, Brennan pushed Josslyn to leave and once again warned her to steer clear of Spoon Island.

Once Cullum arrived, Josslyn hid around the corner and listened in on his conversation with Brennan.

Cullum grilled Brennan about Sonny’s connection to Sidwell, but Brennan insisted only bad blood was between them despite the deal for Sonny’s piers.

Cullum was still suspicious, but Brennan thought everything seemed legit and didn’t believe Sonny knew anything about Sidwell’s project.

After Cullum suggested Brennan might be avoiding a proper Sonny investigation because of Carly, Brennan acted like he was just using her for intel.

Brennan met up with Carly later, but she was distracted thinking back to the conversation she eavesdropped on between him and Britt in his hotel room.

Once Carly put her attention back on Brennan, she pretended she was happy to be the one uncomplicated part of his life.

As for Brick, he was surprised to get a call from Josslyn.

Brick visited Josslyn’s apartment and was willing to help with anything she needed.

Once Marco demanded that Britt come to Wyndemere immediately, she headed over there and complained about the new lab not being up to her standards.

Marco defended the state-of-the-art space, so Britt was bickering with him about wanting to get the work over with when Lucas appeared with questions.

General Hospital spoilers say Britt’s world will spin out even further in the coming episodes, so stay tuned.
