The Young and the Restless Tuesday, January 20 Recap: Judge Victor Sentences Matt – Nick’s Fentanyl Dilemma
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Tuesday, January 20, reveals that “Judge” Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will sentence Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) while Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) faces a fentanyl dilemma.
At the Newman ranch, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will be working late on her laptop.
Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will be pleased over Chelsea supporting the family, so she’ll admit Chelsea is like Victor and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) since she fights hard for the people she cares about.
After some talk about Nikki potentially losing Chancellor, Nikki will fish to find out if Chelsea and Adam are considering marriage.
Chelsea will basically imply that she’s wary of rocking the boat since things are going so well in their romance.
Once Adam returns, he’ll get Chelsea to take a break with him. Chelsea will nearly mention the marriage conversation before backing out of the idea.
Adam will admit he was afraid Chelsea would leave him over all the Jabot drama, so she’ll be sorry she ever made him feel like their relationship was in jeopardy.
Chelsea will make it clear to Adam that she’s still all in on their future together.
At Crimson Lights, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will run into Victoria Newman (Ameila Heinle) and quiz her, but she’ll refuse to be his source for Abbott Communications.
Billy will play up their personal connection as friends, exes and co-parents, so she’ll confess that Newman is under attack and confirm what Billy already knows.
Victoria will grill Billy about whether he’s still interested in Chancellor, but he’ll act like his obsession is over.
However, after more bickering with Victoria, Billy will ominously hint that she won’t stop him from going after what he wants.
At Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) house, Nick will finally agree to let Victor deal with Matt, but he’ll demand five minutes with him first.
Once Matt regains consciousness, Victor’s security guards will keep him under control while Nick blasts him.
Victor will eventually step forward and let Matt know he’ll be playing judge tonight.
Matt will be led inside the cottage, where he’ll comment on the fact that you need balloons for a going away party.
After Matt learns this is a sentencing instead, Noah Newman (Lucas Adams), Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun), Sharon and Nick will all take turns ripping into him.
Once Matt is taken to the main house, Nick will snap at Sienna for getting involved since she’s not family.
Sienna will privately admit to Noah that Nick is right since she doesn’t belong there.
Nick will step outside to get some air and will be in agony since he’s out of pain pills.
After Nick goes digging in his pocket, he’ll pull out a small bag of fentanyl.
Meanwhile, Victor will take plenty of jabs on the punching bag and flash back to a boxing lesson with Nick as a teenager, which also involved a conversation about Matt.
In the present, Victor will confront Matt in a room at the ranch and force him to stand up to face him.
After Victor shuts the door, Y&R fans will be left wondering about his next move!
The Young and the Restless spoilers say the Newmans will have more fires to put out, so stay tuned for updates on any other bad news that’s brewing.
