General Hospital Monday, January 19 Recap: Willow Injects Drew, Faison & Anna Face Off, Dante’s Case Against Michael

General Hospital (GH) recap for Monday, January 19, reveals that Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) injected Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) while “Cesar Faison” (Anders Hove) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) faced off.

Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) was also ordered to build a case against Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson), so here’s how Monday’s GH episode played out.

Following Willow’s not guilty verdict, she was free to go.

Willow was grateful to her support team since she couldn’t have gotten through this without them – especially Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn).

Alexis expected Drew to come through for her the way she’d come through for Willow, so she was obviously talking about their Scout Quartermaine (Cosette Abinante) deal.

Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) thought this called for a celebration and planned to come over to Drew’s place along with Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard), so Drew wasn’t happy about that.

Nearby, ADA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) fumed because she felt the prosecution lost because they no longer had the original traffic cam footage of Willow.

Turner put Chase on full blast for his case interference, but he felt she should’ve done her job right.

As for Drew, he made it clear to Turner that he wanted Michael to face charges, so Turner pushed Dante to start building a case against his brother.

During Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) and Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) trip to the café, they discussed the outcome of Willow’s case.

Trina suddenly didn’t think it was such a bad thing that Willow walked free since she understood how a monster like Drew could push Willow over the edge.

Plus, Trina knew that Willow would raise suspicion if she divorced Drew, so she felt Willow was stuck with him for the foreseeable future – and maybe that was punishment enough!

Kai still planned to come clean to the cops about everything if Michael was prosecuted, but he wanted to keep Trina’s name out of it.

Trina ultimately kissed Kai to shut him up and insisted they’d go to the police together if it came to that.

At the law office, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) spoke with Suzanne (Jen Ray) about the case and his belief that it’d be better for everyone if Willow was acquitted.

Suzanne eventually received updates from Alexis and gave Sonny the news that Willow got a not guilty verdict.

Once Alexis made it back to her office, she threw papers around the room in frustration.

Suzanne appeared and assumed Alexis was acting this way because Willow was guilty, which is something she’d suspected herself considering how defensive Willow was during trial prep.

Suzanne also brought up Alexis’ slip-up during closing arguments and assumed it was intentional.

Alexis was sickened over having to keep quiet about Willow’s guilt after a last-minute witness came to her with evidence.

Suzanne didn’t blame Alexis since she had a duty to defend her client no matter what.

Plus, Scout access was at stake, so Suzanne suggested there was nothing Alexis could do and felt that Willow was Drew’s problem now.

At home, Willow put on a show of gratitude and kissed Drew. Scout also found out that Willow won her case and wouldn’t be going to prison, so she gave her a thrilled hug.

Drew looked irritated as Willow sang Alexis’ praises and suggested she’d have more time to spend with Scout now that the case was over.

Nina brought in a bottle of bubbly for the celebration, but Drew spoke with her alone and pushed her to leave.

Drew threatened to tell Willow about her own mother wanting her convicted so she could play the hero during the appeal process.

Nina argued that wasn’t what she said, but she relented to avoid causing a scene on Willow’s celebratory day.

Although Nina was willing to go for now, she said she’d be back.

Chase arrived next with flowers, so Drew wasn’t pleased about that or how grateful Willow was to her ex.

Drew managed to get rid of Chase too while Scout went off with the nanny, who took her to Alexis’ office for a visit.

That left Willow alone with Drew, so she asked him to hold her and then celebrated with him soon after.

Drew started talking about going on a romantic getaway with Willow, who hugged him from behind before jabbing him in the neck with a syringe.

Drew passed out on the floor as Willow smugly said that it would all work out and added a “you’ll see.”

It was reminiscent of Drew’s own declaration the night before Willow shot him in the back!

At the Quartermaine mansion, Sonny came to see Michael and promised he wouldn’t let his son go down for shooting Drew.

Even if someone did try to prosecute Michael, Sonny said it wouldn’t be ADA Turner.

While Sonny cornered Justine at the courthouse later, Chase came looking for Michael in hopes of calling a truce for the family’s sake.

Michael wasn’t interested since Chase believed he was guilty and helped Alexis target him.

In captivity, Anna refused to believe that the man speaking to her on the intercom was actually Faison.

The man insisted he was indeed Faison and worked to convince Anna that she’d never be rid of him.

Anna threw up in the bathroom and returned with a clearer head.

Although Anna pointed out that Faison’s brain was in a jar, the man argued it was someone else’s brain instead.

Anna demanded that Faison show his face as proof, but voice claimed he was still recovering and refused to show himself when he wasn’t in optimal condition.

However, the man claiming to be Faison urged Anna to be patient since they’d eventually spend the rest of their lives together in their new home.

General Hospital spoilers say the mind games will continue for poor Anna, so stay tuned!
