The Young and the Restless: Summer Disowns Phyllis Over Newman Attack, Done with Mom’s Selfish Games?
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that Summer Newman (last played by Allison Lanier) may disown Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) over the latest Newman attack. Will Summer decide she’s done with her mom’s selfish games?
Phyllis feels confident that she can handle whatever backlash she’s going to receive from her kids, but Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) doesn’t seem as certain.
Cane has first-hand experience when it comes to pursuing big business dreams and losing his family in the process.
That’s why Cane wants to make sure Phyllis knows what she’s getting herself into when it comes to this Newman takeover and the fallout it’ll bring.
Phyllis could push Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) and especially Summer too far with her latest antics.
Summer and Daniel forgave Phyllis for faking her demise, so she’s apparently got it in her head that they’ll forgive her for just about anything.
A company takeover isn’t as bad as pretending to suffer a grim fate, so we can see why Phyllis would think she can smooth things over here.
However, Phyllis constantly pulls stunts and leaves her kids dealing with the turmoil.
This may be a case of Phyllis pushing Summer one time too many, particularly since this affects the entire Newman side of the family.
Of course, Phyllis might point out that dear Grandpa Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) was preparing to go after Jabot.
Since Marchetti falls under the Jabot umbrella, Phyllis might push Summer to see that Victor is no better than her.
Furthermore, Phyllis has every right to hate Victor until the end of time for his past actions.
Victor put a criminal doppelganger named Marco Annicelli (Peter Bergman) in Phyllis’ bed when she was still with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), so that was a major violation.
More recently, Victor refused to follow through on his deal with Phyllis, so it’s easy to see why she keeps playing up the idea of karma coming for him.
Nevertheless, Summer isn’t going to have the same perspective and may choose to give Phyllis an ultimatum.
If Phyllis doesn’t back down and try to make this right, Summer may vow to disown her.
Summer might promise to sever their mother-daughter connection and cut off all contact.
This might happen over the phone or even in person if Summer decides to confront Phyllis face-to-face at some point.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) has been urging Summer to come home now that Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) is back in town, so that’s worth keeping in mind.
Regardless, The Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis may land in more trouble than she bargained for once Summer gets updates on all the bad news.
