Sister Wives star Kody Brown had Robyn Brown waiting in the wings while his TLC show was still on the drawing board. One of the first things she learned from him was that he was in talks for a reality show. This gave Robyn something in common with her future hubby almost immediately and may still be what keeps them so tight.

Robyn Brown once told the story of her first time at Kody’s house with her cousin. She was there to meet the family as he had an eye on her for wife number four. One of the first things she commented on was a display that surprised her.

Robyn said it looked like her prospective husband lined up all their new convertibles in the driveway to impress her. They weren’t just parked. No, they were more arranged. This was back before the Sister Wives series was a thing. This event was when Meri Brown, Janelle Brown, and Christine Brown shared one house with Kody Brown in Utah.

Then, Robyn got a glimpse of her future husband’s showmanship. Meri, Christine, and Janelle spent a lot of time with Kody going over the pros and cons of doing a reality show. None was sure they wanted to put their lives on display. But it seems Robyn Brown might have had a different take.

Trio of Original Wives Weren’t Like the Last

Kody Brown’s first three wives weren’t sure about their lives becoming a TV show. But Kody was chomping at the bit to get their unique Sister Wives life on the screen. Kody was married to the other ladies for more than a decade before Robyn Brown married Kody. So, they were used to a quiet existence far away from cameras.

So, it seems Robyn might not have been camera-shy like Kody’s spouses back then. Robyn Brown first learned about the Sister Wives show as a possibility before she married into the family. When she first heard, she said she thought Papa Brown might be exaggerating. But when she realized it was happening, it didn’t scare her off.

So while the other Sister Wives seemed off-put about cameras infiltrating their world, Robyn Brown may have found this exciting. Then she met Kody and the family got reality-TV famous. Could this be why Robyn is Kody’s perceived favorite among the Sister Wives?

Or at least the one he shares a lot in common with today? After all, Robyn Brown gave Kody Brown what he wanted from day one, a wife who is enthusiastic about him at all
