Paul Staehle took to social media recently to offer a warning to his followers. The 39-year-old TLC 90 Day Fiance star reveals he is in the hospital recovering from a frightening near-death experience in Brazil.

90 Day Fiance: Paul Staehle Reveals He Is Lucky to Be Alive

He reveals he was enjoying a day on the river with friends. However, he states he decided to hop into the water for a swim when things went horribly wrong.

Paul reveals that the river current was rough and was being pulled under before he knew it. As a result, the 90 Day Fiance star reveals he nearly lost his life.

Paul says he believed he would have died that day if it hadn’t been for a group of people who rushed to his rescue. He states he was immediately rushed to the hospital after being pulled from the river.

Doctors reveal that he is very fortunate. However, he did take in a lot of water to his lungs and is now being treated for a possible lung infection.

TLC Star Thanks Followers for Their Concern

Paul Staehle wanted to update and thank his followers for all their concern and kind wishes. He states he will spend the next few days on antibiotics and rest.

Paul also wants to add a word of caution. He says this type of accident can happen to even the strongest swimmers and always urges everyone to wear their life vest.

Staehle appreciates the outpour of love he says he has been receiving on social media. However, not all 90 Day Fiance followers are as sympathetic as others.

TLC fans reveal they can’t believe he appears so unconcerned about the welfare of his children. Many blasted the father of two for being selfish. They feel he should be in the United States to support his kids. Some are even questioning if this was really a publicity stunt.

90 Day Fiance: Paul Wants to Move Forward

It has been a very controversial and crazy time for Paul Staehle between the alleged kidnapping/missing person drama of early summer, losing custody of his children, and his ex-wife Karine Martin’s recent abuse claims.

Despite his claims of innocence in all of the allegations, most fans are not buying his continuous explanations. They reveal they believe both Paul and Karine contributed to their marital problems.

However, they feel the most important thing is the safety and well-being of their two children, Pierre Staehle, and Ethan Staehle. To date, neither Karine nor Paul has custody of their sons. They are currently in the care of their grandparents.

I think TLC should help Paul out and have him evaluated with a Psychologist. I am afraid for him sometimes. His mental state is concerning. Praying for his family.

The custody case is ongoing. However, in light of the latest abuse accusations, some believe Karine should get custody of the children. But he claims he will continue to fight his ex on this matter and states that her accusations are false.
