The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Tuesday, June 3, reveals that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will offer a $5 million deal to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) after Cole Howard’s (J. Eddie Peck) relapse causes panic.

At Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) birthday bash, Cole will cough repeatedly and have to loosen his tie.

Between that and Cole’s rising fever, he’ll be so weak that he’s on the verge of keeling over.

Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) will fret over Cole, who’ll try to catch his breath in a chair.

Although Victoria will think they should call 911, Cole will insist he just needs to get some rest.

While Victoria’s off tending to Cole, Victor will admit to Nikki that this looks like the beginnings of pneumonia to him – though he’ll hope he’s wrong.

Nikki and Victor will also talk about Kyle’s toast along with his charm bracelet gift.

Unfortunately, Victor will find the whole thing “cloying” and will feel like it was a calculated move to gain his approval.

Later, Kyle will try another bold move to win Victor over. In a conversation at the GCAC bar, Kyle will acknowledge that Victor speaks the language of contracts, so he’ll offer to sign one.

Kyle will consider this a “pre-prenup” and will initially promise to leave town if he betrays Claire or hurts her in any way.

Victor won’t think that sounds very enforceable, so Kyle will go for another angle and offer to pay damages.

After Kyle vows to pay $5 million if he breaks Claire’s heart, he’ll wonder if Victor’s willing to let him prove his commitment and strike this deal.

Claire will interrupt with updates on Cole before Victor mentions that he’ll consider Kyle’s proposal.

That’ll leave Claire with questions, so Kyle will privately admit he made an offer that he hopes Victor can’t refuse.

Victor will give Nikki the news about Kyle’s contract offer, so she’ll wonder what it’s going to take for him to accept Kyle and Claire’s relationship.

As for Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), they’ll discuss Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) feelings for Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) before Adam speaks with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) privately.

Adam will admit that he has no personal reason to go easy on Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), but he’ll acknowledge that Chelsea has a soft spot for him.

Jack will eventually make a toast to Nikki, which won’t impress Victor any more than Kyle’s toast did!

However, Pietro (Jai Rodriguez) will take a moment to tell Kyle and Claire what a cute couple they make.

Before Pietro goes, he’ll even drop a hint about planning Claire and Kyle’s wedding when the time comes.

As for Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman), she’ll remain worried that Michael’s going to get sucked back into Victor’s web.

Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters), on the other hand, will be happy that Michael walked away from Victor.

Since Michael did that partly because of Jack, Diane will love him even more for it and will embrace her friend.

Meanwhile, Sharon will talk to Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) about therapy and will assume Ash is worried about Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) – though Y&R fans know there are good reasons to worry about how Ashley’s holding up, too.

Aristotle Dumas’ party will remain the talk of the town, so Sharon will hate that she’s going to miss it as she chats with Nick.

When Nick offers to take Sharon as his plus one, she’ll be stunned and delighted.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Dumas’ bash will bring some jaw-dropping moments down the road, so stay tuned.
