The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, January 9, reveal that Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) will consider embracing his sinister side while Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) faces a Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) decision. Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will also get a scare, so let’s talk about what’s coming up in Genoa City.

For starters, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) has more hospital drama ahead of him.

It looks like there’ll be a setback in Nick’s recovery, so there could be post-op complications or perhaps an injury that his doctors missed before.

Y&R spoilers say some scary moments could be on the way for Sharon as a result, so stay tuned for updates on whatever bad news is brewing.

In the meantime, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will take Matt to the Newman ranch with the help of some Abbott security guards, including the one who followed Matt after the crash.

Since Jack wants to strike a deal, he may suggest trading Matt for the AI program would be a fair exchange.

Will Victor really be willing to give up that powerful threat over Jabot?

Once Matt is on the Newman property, Victor may argue that the Abbotts have already given up their leverage.

There’s no guarantee Victor will honor any sort of agreement with Jack, especially if he calls the cops and decides to let them handle Matt next.

However, it’s also possible Victor will make some form of a deal with Jack – even if he ends up betraying him later.

As for Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), she’ll push Cane to embrace his sinister side and get on board with her plan to take over Newman Enterprises.

Cane doesn’t have much left to lose now that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) has walked away and the twins have officially cut all ties.

Will Cane finally surrender and throw himself into this alliance with Phyllis as a distraction?

Regardless, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will likely seek Phyllis out sooner or later and make it known that he wants in on this revenge mission.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Billy may put his relationship with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) in jeopardy, but he’ll hope everything will work out in the end!
