The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Monday, January 5, reveals that Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) will strangle Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) in the driver’s seat after Sienna Bacall’s (Tamara Braun) rescue.

At the motel, Sienna will wake up and try to convince “Mitch” that they can still fix this.

Matt will pretend he’s going to uncuff Sienna at one point, but it’ll just be a fake-out.

He’ll also properly introduce himself as Matt Clark and warn that he’s as dangerous as everyone claims.

Sienna will call Matt out for being a monster and will question what Annie Stewart (Catherine Kresge) is getting out of this when she returns.

Matt will finally uncuff Sienna, but Annie will block her attempt to bolt out the door.

After Matt hints about it being time to say goodbye, Annie will help him take Sienna in a car somewhere.

Afterward on Monday’s Y&R episode, Annie will manhandle Sienna before Matt gives her a farewell kiss.

Sienna will bite Matt’s lip and leave it bleeding, but he’ll make it clear that he’ll draw last blood as he grips her by the throat.

At the Newman ranch, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will get updates from his security team about secretly having Matt cornered.

Thanks to a drone, they’ll know Matt’s location and will be waiting in the vicinity for the signal.

Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will want to take Victor’s place in the rest of the plan since his dad got shot not that long ago.

Since Adam will think the family needs Victor alive for as long as possible, he’ll voice concerns.

Victor will reassure Adam and point out that Nick is taking charge on this next part anyway.

Once Nick receives news regarding the security team, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) will insist on going with him to confront Matt.

Back with Annie, she’ll be ready to get rid of Sienna permanently.

Matt won’t care how Annie kills Sienna as long as no one ever sees her again.

Suddenly, Victor’s security team will join Nick, Sharon and Noah with guns drawn, so Annie will have to put down her own weapon.

Matt and Annie will drop to their knees while Sienna runs into Noah’s comforting embrace.

Although Matt will assume the cops are coming next, Nick will take him back to the Newman ranch for a confrontation with Victor and Adam.

Victor will punch Matt in the gut and knock the wind out of him.

Nick will hint about making sure Matt never comes near his family again as he pulls out some zip ties.

Once Nick leaves with Matt, Adam will talk about Nick deserving to be the one to end this.

Victor will agree and count on Matt being gone for good.

At the cottage, Sienna will express how thankful she is for the help she received from Noah and his loved ones.

Sharon will also show Sienna kindness and talk about her own kidnapping experience.

Over with Nick, he’ll be in the driver’s seat of a car while Matt’s in the backseat taunting him.

Matt will secretly start trying to work with his zip ties and will seriously doubt that Nick will be able to kill him.

Suddenly, Matt will gain the upper hand on Nick and use his zip-tied wrists to form a chokehold.

Nick will struggle to breathe, so he’ll take his hands off the wheel and try to loosen Matt’s grip.
