General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that we have to ask: Is Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) getting killed off? GH’s co-head writers, Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten, offered some ominous clues in a new interview with TV Insider, so let’s talk about some unsettling hints for 2026.

Viewers know Valentin has teamed up with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) on a bold mission against Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna).

Now that Valentin is a fugitive who’s hiding out in Carly’s house, he’s setting himself up for trouble.

In fact, that trouble could prove fatal based on the comments Van Etten and Korte offered up.

The first clue flat-out admits that Valentin’s bond with Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) “may be the death of him.”

It doesn’t get much more ominous than that!

There’s a chance that Carly’s decision to reunite Valentin and Charlotte for Christmas could lead to devastating consequences.

That brings us to Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr), who now knows Charlotte saw her father over the holidays.

Rocco doesn’t know where Charlotte saw Valentin or who might be helping him, but he might try to pry that information out of his sister later.

Regardless, Rocco could at least blab to Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) or someone else that Charlotte’s been in touch with her dad.

That could lead to Brennan digging deeper – perhaps with Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) forced help.

Like it or not, Nina might have to get the truth out of Charlotte regarding Valentin’s whereabouts and ally.

Even Charlotte herself could cause more problems once she ditches the cops looking after her and potentially tries to reunite with Valentin again.

One way or another, Brennan is bound to find out about Valentin’s Carly partnership, so that may seal the deal on Jack wanting him gone forever.

Of course, all this drama could start with Rocco’s betrayal of Charlotte, which brings us to Korte and Van Etten’s other big hint.

The co-head writing duo promised that Rocco would face “a stormy 2026, triggering a string of events that will result in the departure of one citizen of Port Charles, and dire consequences for others.”

Will Valentin be that departure – and will it be a deadly one? Could Valentin finally reach the end of the road?
