General Hospital Monday, December 15 Recap: Brennan & Josslyn Hunt Valentin’s Fake Lawyer – Rocco’s Sentence
General Hospital (GH) recap for Monday, December 15, reveals that Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) were on the hunt for Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) fake lawyer while Rocco Falconeri’s (Finn Carr) sentence was revealed.
At the Metro Court Gardens, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) reluctantly met with Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota), who demanded that she endorse and take credit for brokering his deal for Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) piers.
Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) came along and admitted he knew all about Sidwell’s blackmail.
After Kevin suggested Laura could call Sidwell’s bluff, he added that he’d back his wife up if she wanted to turn herself in.
Sidwell pointed out that although he needed Sonny and Laura, he didn’t need Kevin.
Laura realized Kevin’s life was in jeopardy and privately warned her husband not to get on Sidwell’s bad side.
In Brennan’s office, he told Josslyn about Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) lawyer supposedly being someone named Barbara Saunders.
Josslyn learned “Barbara” wore glasses with an infrared blocking technology that prevented her from being identified when she visited Valentin at Steinmauer.
Since Valentin’s accomplice could lead them to him, Brennan wanted Josslyn to find out who she really was.
Of course, GH fans know Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) was the one who posed as “Barbara” with a little help from Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson)!
When Josslyn mentioned her upcoming visit to Carly’s place, Brennan wanted a full report.
Josslyn insisted she’d offer updates on Carly’s safety and that’s it since her mother was entitled to her privacy.
Next, Brennan summoned Britt for a meeting and demanded the data she’d been given for her work at the Five Poppies Resort.
If Britt didn’t do what she was told, Brennan said he’d tell Sidwell that she’d been in cahoots with the WSB all along.
Britt wanted something from Brennan in exchange and demanded that he get her medical license reinstated.
Since Carly didn’t want to leave Valentin alone in her home, she took a day off work and bickered with him as he got breakfast in the kitchen.
Once Valentin headed back up to the attic, Josslyn came over hoping to make plans for some pre-Christmas fun with Carly and Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears) this weekend.
Carly assumed Josslyn wanted to watch over because of Valentin’s escape, but she downplayed any concerns.
In the end, Carly convinced Josslyn they should let Donna decorate Joss’ apartment for Christmas instead of celebrating there at the house.
After Josslyn took off, Valentin reconvened with Carly and discussed his plan for Brennan.
Since Brennan wanted the technology that was being developed using Cesar Faison’s (Anders Hove) project, Valentin hoped to use that against him.
The goal was to have Brennan held responsible when everything was exposed and make sure he went to prison for treason among other things.
Valentin felt confident that Brennan would get tangled up in the middle of it all – and when he did, Valentin would be ready.
At the hospital, Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) had a tense interaction with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) before turning to Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) for guidance.
Since Felicia helped fix things between Mac Scorpio (John J. York) and Cody Bell (Josh Kelly), Emma wanted advice on how to help Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) do the same.
Felicia confessed that James West’s (Gary James Fuller) near-drowning accident brought Cody and Mac together in the end, so Emma realized Gio and Dante needed something to unite them, too.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) came home from her month-long vacation and reunited with Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton).
Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) appeared and knew it was time to come clean.
Tracy learned Ned had a health scare while she was gone, so she pushed for details.
After Ned admitted to having a heart attack, Tracy blew up over everyone leaving her out of the loop.
However, Tracy ultimately settled down and made it clear that Ned was under strict orders not to die before her.
Gio eventually popped up with some healthy groceries, so Ned’s family fussed over him before Tracy made him go take a nap.
Later, Emma arrived in hopes of convincing Gio that making amends with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) was the best way to help Rocco.
At Lulu Spencer’s (Alexa Havins Bruening) place, Rocco was adamant about not wanting Dante to take him to court.
Lulu decided she’d go with Rocco instead while Dante stayed behind to watch over Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke).
Charlotte shared a moment alone with Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) and admitted Valentin had been in touch with her.
Although Charlotte knew Valentin might want her to leave Port Charles soon, she wasn’t so sure she wanted the same thing.
Next, Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) gave Dante a nudge toward finding a way to patch things up with Rocco.
Over with Sonny, he met with ADA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) in her office to discuss Rocco’s case.
The pair wound up bickering over whether Justine should drop the charges and whether Sonny had something to do with Professor Henry “Hank” Dalton’s (Daniel Goddard) disappearance.
Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) entered soon after and played up how Justine didn’t want to be known for prosecuting innocent kids at this stage of her career.
After an off-screen meeting with the judge, Justine and Ric met with Sonny, Rocco and Lulu.
The judge left it up to Justine to decide on a plea deal, which meant Rocco could get 30 days behind bars or 500 hours of community service.
Rocco gave a sincere apology and owned up to the lab break-in being wrong, so Justine went with the community service option.
General Hospital spoilers say Rocco will need to stay out of trouble from now on, so stay tuned for any tricky news that might make that difficult!
