The Young and the Restless Monday, December 15 Update: Cane Refuses to Be Enemies with Benefits, Shuts Phyllis Down
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, December 15, reveals that Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) will refuse to be enemies with benefits, so he’ll shut Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) down.
At Crimson Lights, Cane will decide it was a mistake to lock lips with Phyllis since they’re foes now.
Although Phyllis will play up the idea of sleeping with the enemy, Cane will make it clear it’s not happening and rush off.
Cane will shift his focus back to Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) ahead of the launch party, but she’ll scold him for not dressing to fit the 50s theme.
Cane will scramble to find something appropriate at Fenmore’s before Lily decides his new look will work.
As for Devon Winters (Bryton James) and Abby Winters (Melissa Ordway), they’ll be taken aback to learn Lily’s going to the bash with Cane.
Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will join Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) for the gathering, but Nate will assure the others it’s just a friendly outing.
Devon will hope Lily keeps Cane in the friend zone as well, but he’ll clearly worry it’ll turn into more.
Back at the coffeehouse, Phyllis will cross paths with Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) and Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei), who’ll be stunned to learn she was invited to the launch party and actually intends to go.
After a debate about Phyllis’ motives for attending, Daniel will decide to put his own invitation to good use and take Tessa as his plus one.
The three of them will head to the jazz lounge, where Phyllis will spy Cane chatting Lily up at the bar.
As for Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), she won’t be thrilled about Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) decision to invite Phyllis.
Billy won’t like the fact that Lily brought Cane as her plus one either, but Sally will stop him from kicking Cane out.
Due to the frosty vibe between Phyllis and Cane, Lily will see that things have definitely changed between them.
Of course, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) will make it to the launch bash along with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).
Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will almost make it to the party with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), but he’ll get called to the Newman ranch and send Chelsea to the shindig alone.
Next on Monday’s Y&R episode, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will talk to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) about there being no way to target Jabot when it’s offline and their assets have been moved.
Victor will argue that he doesn’t care about Jabot; all Victor will care about is going after Jack – and there’ll still be a path to blowing things up for him tonight.
That’s where Adam will come in since Victor will task him with using Jack’s own strategy against him.
Adam will make some calls and arrange for Jabot’s shutdown scandal to get published through Newman Media.
Victor will feel like Jack sealed his own fate with his precautions, so he’ll have a celebratory drink with Adam and Michael despite their discomfort.
Back at the party, Billy will give Sally an amazing introduction before she plays up their mission at Abbott Communications.
Once phones start dinging and people start murmuring, Sally will wonder what’s going on.
Jack and Diane will see for themselves that Victor’s found another way to go after them, so they’ll fume over Jabot being smeared in the news.
Phyllis will end up grilling Jack about Jabot’s downfall while Chelsea admits to Victoria she had no clue this was happening.
Since Adam simply did as he was told again, Chelsea will be frustrated over him listening to Victor and not talking to her about it.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chelsea and Adam have more conflict ahead, stick with us for updates on the heated argument in their future.
