The Young and the Restless Wednesday, December 10 Recap: Matt’s Decoy Trap – Victor Learns Critical Secret

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Wednesday, December 10, reveals that a decoy room trap is brewing for Matt Clark aka “Mitch Bacall” (Roger Howarth). Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will also learn a critical secret, so here’s what Y&R fans can look forward to.

At the Newman ranch, Victor, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) will all return from Los Angeles.

Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) will hang back a bit as the other Newmans join Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Claire Newman (Hayley Erin).

Victor will speak with Sienna alone and offer a reminder that his money and power saved her “ass.”

That’s something Victor will want Sienna to remember while he’s keeping an eye on her.

Back with Noah, he’ll officially meet Claire before introducing Sienna to everyone.

Claire will be taken aback when she realizes it’s Sienna from The Shadow Room and wonder what she’s doing in town.

After Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) join the conversation, Victor will admit someone is targeting their family.

Victor will add that Matt Clark aka “Mitch Bacall” (Roger Howarth) is alive, so that’ll lead to talk about him reinventing himself after doing horrible things in the past.

Noah and Sienna will recap some of Matt’s awful actions in LA as well.

All that news will leave Nikki reeling, but Victor will insist there’s a plan on place to handle Matt.

Sharon will fret over how insane Matt is and will hope he’s not on his way to Genoa City to finish what he started.

Nick and Sharon will both acknowledge that Matt coming back to GC is a real possibility.

As for the Abbott Communications launch party, Victor will decline to attend and will hint about having more important things to do. Nikki will fish for more information, but Victor will remain cagey.

Adam and Chelsea will mention that they’re going to the bash and that they’ll fill Victor in, but he’ll say to spare him the play-by-play.

In a private moment with Adam, Victor will let him know he’s ready to unleash the AI program and that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) is going down tonight.

Later, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will call about some of the counterstrategies the Abbotts have set up.

Nikki will listen in on the discussion as Victor updates Adam on Jabot’s shutdown.

At the cottage, Sharon will head to the kitchen while Noah reassures Sienna about protecting her.

Sienna will feel like an intruder, but Noah will try to put her mind at ease and will give her a kiss.

Sharon will come out with a food tray and gape at Noah while he’s locking lips with Sienna.

Nick will also pop up and drag Noah off for some “diversionary tactics” in case Matt shows up, so that’ll leave Sienna alone with Sharon.

Sienna will try playing nice with Sharon as she apologizes for all the Matt trauma, but Sharon will insist on getting a few things straight with her.

At the GCAC, Jack and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will commiserate over Victor’s looming attack before talk turns to Kyle’s hope that he can win back Claire’s trust.

Kyle will acknowledge that Claire’s reached her limit with Audra and will think this partnership against her may help him fix things with Claire.

Meanwhile, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will do some last-minute prep in the jazz lounge ahead of tonight’s Abbott Communications launch party.

Audra will come along with a travel book as a gift to wish Sally luck.

Sally embrace Audra in gratitude and hold out hope that Audra can still be part of the company eventually.

When Kyle walks in with Jack, he’ll take a jab at Audra about how she should come support her only friend at the launch bash.

Kyle will also hint about things looking up with Claire before Audra storms out.

Back with Jack, he’ll talk to Billy about Diane working with the IT team to set some “cunning traps,” which can detect the AI program’s intrusion and lead back to the source.

The goal will be to get incriminating evidence, expose Victor’s illegal activity and never have to deal with him again.

Once Nick and Noah head to the athletic club, they’ll discuss getting a decoy room under Noah and Sienna’s name.

When Matt comes looking for them, they can use that room to set a trap.

This GCAC visit will also give Noah a chance to bump into Audra. As Noah comes face to face with his ex, Nick will hang back awkwardly.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Audra and Noah will have some catching up to do, so don’t miss what’s in store!
