The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Tuesday, December 9, indicates that a surprise Las Vegas getaway will be revealed. Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will also crash a private party, so let’s talk about how she’ll derail a special occasion with stunning results.

At the GCAC, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will surprise Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) by having a blackjack table waiting for her.

After three cards reveal a “Happy 20th Anniversary” message, the pair will think back on Michael’s casino-themed proposal along with some other romantic moments.

Lauren will tease Michael by making him win games for a kiss before they reminisce about the night she admitted she was pregnant with Fenmore “Fen” Baldwin (Zach Tinker).

When Phyllis pops up, she’ll ask if this is casino night and wonder if Michael is recreating his proposal to Lauren. Phyllis will get updates on it being the duo’s 20th anniversary before Michael gripes about her being a perpetual event crasher.

Lauren will insist she wants peace for her anniversary and will play up the unbreakable bond the three of them have as friends.

Once Phyllis congratulates Michael and Lauren on 20 years of marriage, she’ll admit she’s a little jealous. However, Phyllis will mostly just be proud that she got to be part of and witness this incredible union.

Lauren will insist on a group hug, so Phyllis will join them for one before getting emotional and heading up to her suite.

Next on Tuesday’s Y&R episode, Lauren will comment on the fact that Michael went to the trouble of getting the same cake they had at their wedding.

Michael and Lauren will ultimately think back on some challenging moments – like when he thought she was gone forever and they fought over Fen’s criminal drama.

Lauren and Michael will also remember his cancer ordeal and how he tried to push her to seek love elsewhere, but they emerged stronger on the other side.

The key to Michael and Lauren’s successful marriage has been choosing each other over and over, so they’ll reflect on that before Michael reveals one last surprise.

Michael will admit he’s taking Lauren on a Las Vegas getaway with Fen and Scott Grainger (Daniel Hall), so she’ll be delighted. After a few more romantic flashbacks and a dance, Lauren and Michael will kiss as they wrap up their anniversary celebration.
