General Hospital Monday, December 8 Recap: Carly’s Shed Hideout for Valentin – Josslyn Finds First Aid Kit Clue
General Hospital (GH) recap for Monday, December 8, reveals that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) offered a shed hideout to Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) also found a first aid kit clue, so here’s how Monday’s episode played out.
In Jack Brennan’s (Chris McKenna) office, Josslyn found out Valentin had escaped and feared for her mom’s safety, so she insisted on watching over Carly herself.
At the police station, Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) told Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) about Valentin’s getaway, so Dante sent Nathan to Lulu Spencer’s (Alexa Havins Bruening) house to look after Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke).
Dante also had Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) brought down to the PCPD for questioning, so Brennan popped up to quiz her, too.
Alexis was adamant that she knew nothing, but Brennan pointed out that she was in charge of the Cassadine trust and that Valentin might need money. Although Brennan hinted about digging into the activities of that trust, Dante didn’t think that was necessary.
Alexis was adamant that she wouldn’t help Valentin if he came to her and vowed to let the police know if he reached out.
In the Quartermaine kitchen, Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) lovey-dovey scene with Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) was interrupted when he got called down to the PCPD because of the Valentin search.
After Chase took off, Brook Lynn ultimately found Ned sneaking pizza from the fridge, so she allowed him one slice despite concerns about his heart.
Ned and Brook Lynn wound up talking about Valentin, so Brook Lynn voiced regret for making Ned believe Bailey Lou Jones (Riley and Miley Plonski) was his grandchild.
Ned didn’t hold that against Brook Lynn, especially now that she’d given him a wonderful grandson like Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza).
At Wyndemere, Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) had a romantic setup waiting for Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) when he appeared after a long shift at GH. Pascal (Marc Forget) interrupted and seemed suspicious of Lucas, but he agreed to get Lucas and Marco some sandwiches.
Over dinner, Lucas griped to Marco about Carly apologizing without actually apologizing. The doc didn’t think it was fair for Carly to judge Marco because of his connection to Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota).
Chase eventually arrived with backup and a request to search the premises since the cops thought Valentin might try to hide out on the property. Pascal nodded to Marco, who cooperated with the police instead of waiting for them to get a warrant.
Marco went up to bed with Lucas, who confessed that he’d initially thought the cops were there for Sidwell and that Carly would be proven right. However, Lucas assured Marco of his trust and insisted he wasn’t having any second thoughts.
A little later, Lucas woke up in bed alone while Marco reconvened with Pascal. Marco got confirmation that the police didn’t find anything on the premises – and that went for any evidence of Sidwell’s shady activities, too.
This news left Marco relieved since he feared he’d lose Lucas for good if he got updates on Sidwell’s actions and the extent that Marco was involved in them.
After Dante phoned Lulu with information on Valentin’s escape, she flipped out. Since Charlotte and Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) were outside on the porch, Lulu ordered them to get inside right away.
Lulu also pushed Charlotte to promise she wouldn’t run off with Valentin. Charlotte wondered if Lulu wanted her to say what her mom wanted to hear or be honest.
When Lulu chose honesty, Charlotte admitted she couldn’t promise she’d stick around if Valentin came for her.
Nathan showed up soon after and took Charlotte’s phone in case Valentin tried to contact her, but she warned he wouldn’t try to reach her that way.
Lulu reluctantly let Charlotte get some air with Rocco on the porch since Nathan insisted law enforcement had surrounded the house.
At Carly’s place, she heard the story of Valentin’s escape and gave him a first aid kit. Carly wanted Valentin to leave as soon as he bandaged himself, but Valentin pushed her to hide him instead.
After some bickering about Carly and Valentin’s partnership against Brennan, Josslyn entered the front door and called out to Carly. Valentin hid outside while Carly played it cool with Josslyn.
Josslyn found the first aid kit tucked behind a pillow on the sofa, but Carly claimed that she’d been Donna Corinthos’ (Scarlett Spears) fake patient when they were playing doctor earlier.
After Josslyn went up to bed, Carly slipped outside and gave Valentin the key to her shed. Valentin grumbled since it was freezing outside, but Carly made it clear that was the best she could do.
