Colt Johnson got married to Vanessa Guerra a year ago. The 90 Day Fiance couple spent the first nine months of their marriage living with his mother, Debbie Johnson. However, Vanessa felt she was losing her mind living with her mother-in-law. So, she decided to move in with her cousin.
Colt has lived with Debbie his entire life. So, when Vanessa left, he didn’t know what to do. He felt that he was his mother’s security blanket. However, he realized he had to prioritize his relationship with his wife.

Colt Johnson hasn’t officially moved out of Debbie Johnson’s house. But, he has made spending time with Vanessa Guerra a priority. So, he hangs out with her at her cousin’s house most of his time.
The TLC star wants to get a place with Vanessa. However, the 90 Day Fiance reality star has been unemployed for a while. His wife finds her job as a dog trainer very rewarding. But the pay isn’t “very good.”
Colt & Vanessa Get Their Own Place — For Now
Colt Johnson decides to go on a staycation with Vanessa Guerra. He wants to rent a house nearby for the weekend so they can see what it’s like to live with each other alone. She finds that exciting. It will be the first time they have their own place.

On the first night, the 90 Day Fiance duo invites two of their friends over. Vanessa is happy that she can have people over without it being awkward or uncomfortable. Colt feels that they have more freedom and that they can “pretty much do anything.”
Colt tells their friends that it’s nice having their own privacy. He says living together is something he would like to do full-time. So, the TLC couple hopes that they can get a place of their own. However, it may not be in their home state.

Colt Johnson is still looking for a job. He feels that could mean the possibility of leaving Nevada. His previous career was developing slot machine games. However, he doesn’t like the industry. So, he is trying to expand his horizon and see what else is out there.
However, Vanessa Guerra feels that moving out of state will be difficult. The 90 Day Fiance star worries about Colt’s “track record.” She feels that he tends not to follow through with plans. She thinks he gets bored easily and moves on to the next thing.
Yet, Colt wants to make money for Vanessa. He doesn’t want to rely on family to give them a place to live. He thinks that moving can be the best thing that has ever happened to them. But what will Debbie Johnson think when she finds out her son is leaving the state?
