The Young and the Restless Thursday, November 20 Recap: Sharon Offers Hostage Trade – Burrow Part of Undercover Drug Bust
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Thursday, November 20, indicates that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will offer a hostage trade while Detective Burrow (Matt Cohen) is revealed to be part of an undercover drug bust.
In Sharon’s hotel room, she’ll awaken to the sound of a blaring fire alarm and open the door to find Matt Clark aka “Mitch Bacall” (Roger Howarth) standing there.
Matt will handle Sharon a bit to get her over to the sofa and will slam the door behind him.
Sharon will insist she’s not afraid of Matt, but he’ll act like she should be considering Noah Newman’s (Lucas Adams) life is at stake.
Although Matt will admit Noah isn’t dead yet, he’ll expect Sharon to do exactly what she’s told.
Matt will convince Sharon to call Nick back to the room, so she’ll leave him a voicemail about Matt wanting to talk. Sharon will also clash with Matt over his real identity since he’ll still be keeping up his “Mitch” act.
After Sharon calls Matt some nasty names and throws insults over his failed marriage, he’ll get in Sharon’s face and wonder if she really thinks it’s a good idea to provoke him right now.
Sharon will ultimately push Matt to give Noah back and take her instead, but he won’t be interested in this sacrificial protective act.
Matt will insist Noah is the one who betrayed him, but he’ll eventually hint about a way for Sharon and Nick to save their son all on their own.
Sharon will be confused, but Matt will plan to explain all the rules once Nick gets there.
Meanwhile, Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) will wake Noah up and admit she woke up shortly before him.
Noah will groggily wonder what happened, but the assumption will be that they were both drugged.
As Noah looks around, he’ll wonder if they’re in some sort of storage unit connected to the club.
Sienna will admit she’s never seen this place before, but she’ll feel confident there’s no way out except the one door that’s locked.
Noah will insist on checking for potential exits himself, so Sienna will scold him for being stubborn.
After Noah wastes some energy calling for help and banging on the door, he’ll have to sit down and rest.
Noah will talk about Matt aka “Mitch” tormenting his parents, so Sienna will confess that she found an old pic of Matt and confirmed it was her husband.
That said, Sienna will wonder if maybe Matt changed since “Mitch” never got violent with her.
There’ll also be some talk about Noah finding out “Mitch” knew about the affair.
Noah will think Matt is psychotic and will wish he hadn’t taken the bait to come to Los Angeles. Sienna won’t wish that since that’d mean she never would’ve met Noah.
Despite all the drama, Sienna won’t regret getting involved with Noah because of how much he means to her.
In the end, Noah will suggest they need to figure out a way out of there before “Mitch” comes back.
At The Shadow Room, Nick will meet with Detective Burrow, who’ll introduce him to another detective named Annie Stewart (Catherine Kresge).
It turns out Detective Burrow has been playing dirty cop while Detective Stewart has been undercover gathering info at the club.
Burrow and Stewart will be revealed as partners who have been part of an operation targeting the Bacalls for the last three months.
Nick will get updates on the drug trafficking case that goes all the way up to the feds.
There’ll be good reasons to believe a large amount of fentanyl has gone through the club, but this whole situation with Noah caused a snag in the investigation.
Detective Stewart will think Noah may have seen or learned something he shouldn’t and will assume that’s why the crash happened.
Nick won’t be so sure about that considering Noah’s affair with Sienna and the fact that “Mitch” is actually Matt Clark, a monster who has a long-term vendetta against Nick and Sharon.
After Nick gives the detectives a history lesson, Burrow will make a call and get someone to do a deep dive on Matt.
Although Nick will get that the drug bust is important, his priority will be finding Noah.
Since Sienna will also be missing, Burrow and Stewart will have concerns about her, too.
Nick will make it clear that he’s willing to kill Matt if Noah is harmed, but Detective Burrow will push him to leave things to law enforcement.
However, Nick will insist that the only two acceptable outcomes are Matt dead or behind bars for the rest of his life.
Detective Burrow will plan to get Matt to meet and try to pump him for information, but he’ll warn that he can’t push too hard.
Nick will just want some fast action since he’ll worry Noah could be running out of time.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say more danger is brewing, so stay tuned for all the shocking news and heated confrontations.
