‘Sister Wives’: Robyn Brown Piles Up Contradictions as Family Implodes

Sister Wives star Robyn Brown seems to keep piling up some contradictions through the seasons. Fans are quick to pick up on the many times she said one thing only to come back saying the opposite a while later.

From her fear of trees to wanting only a polygamous marriage, Robyn offers contradictions galore.

Sister Wives: Robyn Brown Signs Up for Polygamy – Twice

Robyn Brown joined Kody Brown and his family after a divorce from her first husband. She planned to practice polygamy with her previous husband, David Jessop. But after almost a decade together, they didn’t take in a second wife.

So, for a wife who claims she signed up for plural marriage, Robyn Brown doesn’t seem to live that way for very long. Even when having three co-wives on Sister Wives, her marriage was more like one of monogamy.

Adding more evidence to this was Meri Brown’s reveal this season. Meri shocked the fans when said that hasn’t been intimate with Kody for a decade. That puts the end of their romance around the time Robyn came into the family.

Wife number four joined a family with three Sister Wives already in the marriage. Now a decade later, it seems she has Kody to herself. Fans say it sounds as if she contradicts her claim that she wants a polygamous marriage.

TLC Star’s Early Contradictions Abundant

Robyn said she respected the wishes of her future co-wives as she and Kody courted. She grew up in a polygamous family and lived in a plural marriage community. So, she knew of the expectations while courting.

That included no kissing until marriage, according to Christine Brown. Sister Wives fans are aware of the kiss she shared with Kody when they became engaged. That kiss made Christine angry.

But another shot of a kiss between Robyn and her future husband happened not long after that. Robyn followed Kody out the door as he was leaving and the two embraced for another lip lock.

Then the mess over the wedding gown shopping with the Sister Wives ladies caused quite the debacle. Robyn Brown had her future co-wives believing they helped her pick out her wedding dress.

But after their shopping trip, she asked Kody to pick it out. The co-wives didn’t find out about this until much later. But when they did, Christine left walked off the stage, and left the family for a few days.

This future wife told the ladies how much this meant to her having them pick out the dress. Then she turned around and asked her pending husband to choose it for her.

Sister Wives: No Woods for Robyn – Really?

The Sister Wives seasons rolled out with another huge contradiction when it was time to choose a place to live. The family landed in Flagstaff and looked at land to purchase.

Before they settled on Coyote Pass, there was another area near Cottonwood, Arizona where they looked. Both Meri Brown and the Sister Wives patriarch loved this wooded area.

But they couldn’t move there because Robyn Brown said she could never live in the woods. She told a story about a wildfire nearby her home as a kid. So, she feared living in an area with trees.

Yet, the home Robyn recently purchased with her shared husband is surrounded by woods. Fans pointed out this contradiction when first seeing a photo of their new home, which cost almost $1 million.

Check out one of the photos of their home in the woods directly above. Then the photo towards the top in the article shows the couple sitting on the patio. Yes, their home in the woods comes complete with a fire pit. That’s another contradiction as far as the fans see it.
