‘Sister Wives’: Kody Brown Cleans up Marriage Woes from His Convertible
Sister Wives celeb Kody Brown recently whipped around Flagstaff, Arizona in a convertible offering marriage advice, possibly from his own experience. But that’s for you to decide after you hear what the Sister Wives’ husband had to say.
Sister Wives: Kody Brown Sets the Scene
Since Kody was tasked with giving marriage advice, he decided to set the scene as “fun.” So he gave his words of wisdom from his convertible as he buzzed around town.
With a visor somewhat holding down Kody’s ringlets from flying in his face, he offered a disclaimer first. He wondered what he could say about advice when it comes to marriage. Then followed that with “I don’t know if I have the right ideas.”

Viewers of Sister Wives may agree with Kody there, especially after watching the last few seasons. But his concerns over whether or not he had the right ideas didn’t stop the Sister Wives patriarch.
He rapidly listed off the steps of his formula for experiencing happiness as a married couple. Money was never mentioned in his wedded bliss advice. But it sounds as if Kody may have included it in a “read between the lines” manner.
Kody Brown in a Nutshell
The first Sister Wives season, Kody has a money theme. In a nutshell – he never has enough. In his defense – he does have a big family.
Kody Brown and Sister Wives raised a brood of 18 kids. Several are under the age of 18 and still live at home. So, that’s a lot of mouths to feed, shoes to put on feet, and everything else that comes along with raising kids.
Still, it seems the Brown family have been on a never-ending journey to find ways to pump up their finances.
Sister Wives is yet again making me go hmmm.. They are talking about how money is tight, yet Kody drives a Lexus convertible….

But first, this advice he gives offers a few generic suggestions like you can’t change the person you plan to marry. But… you can change yourself. So he offers up an advice-like motto. Either “leave me forever or take me as I am.”
But the piece of advice that needs a bit more explanation from this Sister Wives’ husband is his “pursuit of excellence” lesson.
Sister Wives: Money Makes Polygamy a Bit Easier?
Kody Brown emphasized his “pursuit of excellence” advice as the way to keep your spouse “enticed”. It sounded as if Kody used this as code for productivity.
“You can’t just sit there and expect people to love you for not pursuing excellence or for being kind of lame.” While he never directly connected this to earning a paycheck, it sounds like it has something to do with productivity as in a job.

Looking at the Sister Wives ladies it appears Meri Brown is on a huge journey to pursue excellence with her B&B investment at Lizzie’s Heritage Inn and becoming a top sales rep for a clothing line, as covered by Soap Dirt. Then there’s Christine Brown, who also sells the same attire as Meri does. Plus, Janelle Brown promotes products for a paycheck as well.
This leaves Robyn Brown. Although in her defense, she tends to keep to herself. That’s probably from the backlash she gets from fans. Some Sister Wives fans think the biggest marital problems in the Brown family started when Robyn joined the mix.
But Meri, Janelle, and Christine seem to follow this “pursuit of excellence” that Kody Brown talks about. So, you have to wonder, what about Robyn Brown?
Maybe her pursuit of excellence is a hidden one. She very well could contribute to the family finances without anyone knowing about it. But if she does, she certainly doesn’t use her fame like Kody Brown and his three other Sister Wives brides to make the money.
The marriage advice given by Kody Brown sounds like he needed to learn all of it the hard way from his own Sister Wives marriage. Hopefully, his advice is able to help some other marriages as well.
