90 Day Fiance: Usman Umar Catches Kim Menzies Off Guard with Adoption Plans
Kim Menzies and her 90 Day Fiance love Usman Umar thought everything was finally falling into place for their marriage. But when she discovers their plans for him to take a second wife will not work with American Immigration laws, she feels they are back to square one.
While Kim is trying to figure out how this will sit with his family, Usman is devising a new plan. One he believes will work for everyone involved. She finds it shocking when he finally shares his new plans with her. She was not expecting anything near what he proposed for them.

<p>He tells Kim he will adopt his brother, Mohammed’s son, Mahadi. At first, Menzies is confused, but then she gets it.</p>
<p>He wants them to adopt his nephew, bring him to the United States, and have Kim help raise the child. The only thing is she is uncertain how willing she is to do this. Especially at her age.</p>
<h2>90 Day Fiance: Kim Discovers Usman Has Been Keeping Secrets</h2>
<p>After a few days, her <em>90 Day Fiance</em>‘s idea is starting to soak in a bit more. Finally, the shock is wearing off, and she is open to discussing Usman Umar’s adoption plan further.</p>
<p>Next, she talks with her son Jamal Menzies about the idea. He is also a bit surprised by the idea. But he tells his mom he will support her 100 percent if she is for it.</p>
<p>The <em>Happily Ever After</em> star tells Jamal she wants to return to Nigeria soon. Because there are things, she and Usman must work out.</p>
<p>She also convinces Jamal to join her. She wants him to meet Umar before they get married. But once she and Jamal arrive in Nigeria, Umar makes a confession. He tells his fiancé he has yet to discuss his plans to adopt his brother’s baby with Mohammed.</p>

For me, it feels like a scam because the cart is being placed before the horse as part of Usman scheme for getting to America, not because he loves Kim or the nephew.
It feels like Kim and the boy are being used as pawns. It’s not authentic.

It is an awkward situation for all involved. She states during her confessional that she is uncomfortable with the conversation. She says, “Part of me does have this feeling like I could raise this child.” Mohammed calls the offer very powerful, but he has some reservations.
Will Usman Umar’s brother give his permission for the couple to adopt his child? If so, will the TLC 90 Day Fiance couple finally have everything in place? Will they marry and move to the United States? Or will something else stand in their way?
