90 Day Fiance: The Other Way – Debbie Aguero and Oussama Have an Unconventional Love Story

Debbie Aguero is a 67-year-old artist and mother of two from Sugar Hill, Georgia. Oussama is a 24-year-old skateboarding poet from Morocco. The 90 Day Fiance cast members met on social media when he messaged her to compliment her artwork.

He then won her over with his poetry. After a few months of chatting, she decided to visit Morocco. His age surprised her when they met in person.

She later said, “He’s 24 years old, but I love him!” After three years of getting to know each other, he asked her to come to Morocco and be his wife.

The couple quickly learned that their relationship would be subject to a lot of scrutiny. Debbie Aguero’s son, Julian, was very vocal about his misgivings about Oussama on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way.  He said, “She’s not thinking like a normal person”.

He was also worried that his mother had already shared some of her funds with Oussama and wasn’t being fully transparent about it. Despite visiting a lawyer to draft a prenup, Julian worried that his mother was making a terrible mistake by moving to Morocco.

TLC’s Oussama Makes his Own Plans

When Debbie Aguero landed in Morocco, the couple had a heart-warming reunion. Oussama likened the relationship to a team saying that he needs his “other half”.

However, on the ride from the airport, the 90 Day Fiance star gave Debbie some updates. First, he wanted her to act “half Moroccan” and pick up the duties of a Moroccan woman when they go to his parent’s farm. Secondly, he informed her that they would not be able to have alcohol in the home.

Things grew more tense when the 90 Day Fiance couple sat down for a talk on their first night in Rabat. He said he wanted her to go back to America after being in Morrocco for a few months.

He said they needed to “live in reality” not just on social media. She was understandably upset over his blunt explanation and wondered why he had not given her this information before she arrived in Morocco.

90 Day Fiance: Will Debbie and Oussama Make it?

On the last episode of 90 Day Fiance, Oussama’s request hurt and frustrated Debbie Aguero.  She said, “It’s like, shame on you…After three years, you have the audacity to say that to me?”

This conflict left her questioning their relationship.  She said, “This was my prince charming and I’m starting to see somebody that I don’t even know anymore.”
