90 Day Fiance star Kim Menzies and her Happily Ever After fiancé, Usman Umar, finally got the one thing they have been working so hard for. His family blessing. So, does this mean that Kim is one step closer to achieving her goal? Maybe, but he might have to live a double life to get there.

90 Day Fiance fans were starting to believe Kim Menzies and Usman Umar would never get the family blessing from his family.
They worked hard and tried everything under the sun to get his family’s approval. However, all the failed attempts were beginning to leave them feeling hopeless.

Her Happily Ever After fiancé’s family, felt she was not the right woman for him. They want to see him marry someone younger who could provide him with children.
At one point, they were willing to compromise and agreed that Usman could marry Kim as long as she agreed to become wife number two.
Menzies was not going to stand for it. She told her 90 Day Fiance there was no way she would be wife number two to him or anyone else.
So, during last Sunday night’s episode, Kim was informed his parents had a letter for her. She was nervous because she had no clue what to expect. So, during the meeting, Usman’s brother hands her the letter.

However, it is not a letter but a contract that outlines some strict conditions the family expects them to abide by if they want the family’s blessing. First, it states Usman’s list of duties to his family stays in place, even if he moves to America.

Next, Usman Umar must be permitted to take a second wife who will bear his children. She is fine with that because she and Usman have discussed this several times.
Next, her 90 Day Fiance partner is to return to Nigeria to visit his family quarterly. So far, this seems easy enough to manage, so Menzies agrees and signs on the dotted line. Is this the beginning of his double life?
TLC Couple Hits Legal Snag
So now that the 90 Day Fiance couple has received the family blessing, Kim seeks out some legal counsel. Kim finds some bad news in the new sneak peek promo. She finds out that United States immigration laws do not recognize polygamous relationships.

The 90 Day Fiance star now doubts whether her plans to marry Usman will come to light. Everything stems from Usman being able to take the second wife and have children.
However, for now, it seems as if could be a nonissue, that is, until Usman Umar takes a second wife.
